Bermuda is preparing itself for some serious action starting at the end of the month, with the 35th America’s Cup staged in the tropical Atlantic island. There will be no way more spectacular to watch the drama unfold and to enjoy a luxurious stay with world-class service than on one of the top chartering superyachts available during the racing. It is set to be an exciting few weeks, with the finest sailors in the world battling for the honour of becoming champions, and lifting the oldest trophy in international sport.
Burgess has a number of luxury yachts available for charter during the proceedings, which start with the Louis Vuitton AC Qualifiers on 26 May. The AC Match finals will commence on 17 June, with final races taking place on 27 June.
There will also be a superyacht regatta and a J Class regatta taking place around the events of the America’s Cup celebrations, to tie in with the growing presence of the luxury vessels that are drawn to the America’s Cup entertainment.
The America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta will be taking place from 13 to 15 June, while the America’s Cup J Class Regatta – a display of some of the world’s most graceful and elegant classic racers – will take place on 16, 19 and 20 June.
While accommodation on land is now scarce, a superyacht charter puts guests front and centre of the action, with many charter yachts securing berths within the harbour just a stone’s throw from the competing catamarans. As well as a private charter, it’s a great opportunity to entertain for business.
There will be a glittering social calendar provided for those looking to secure a luxe experience, from beach parties to black-tie dinners and on-deck cocktails in the original home of the Gosling Dark ‘n’ Stormy.
A number of yachts are available through Burgess for a range of preferences and needs, each offering a VIP package with privileged access to the America’s Cup events, personalised concierge service and an America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta entry (if berthed in the venue).
