An impressive assemblage of sports, convertible and luxury supercars lined the marina at Sanctuary Cove last week, providing a glimpse of the prestige marques that will be on display at the 2017 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 25 to 28 May.

Last year’s popular addition of Supercar Street is returning in 2017, complementing the spectacular showcase of hundreds of premier boats on water and throughout the vibrant Marine Village.

Headlined by major sponsor Bentley Brisbane, the stunning line-up will also see the latest driving machines from premium brands including Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Aston Martin, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Lotus.

SCIBS general manager Johan Hasser said Supercar Street will provide an exclusive opportunity for visitors to see the world’s luxury marques in one place, accessible and open to close inspection.

“While our visitors come to see the latest boat and marine product launches, we’ve found they also share a strong interest in luxury cars. It’s a match made in heaven,” Mr Hasser said.

“Supercar Street perfectly complements the other displays and exhibits at the Show.”

Bentley Brisbane’s marketing manager Clinton Wright said SCIBS is significant for the company’s marketing objectives and is the perfect fit for the brand.

“SCIBS combines the ultimate superyacht lifestyle with a celebration of the extraordinary bespoke Bentley lifestyle,” Mr Wright said. “Many of our customers are from the Gold Coast and SCIBS is the ideal opportunity to engage with them and attract new like-minded clients to the brand.”

This year, Bentley Brisbane will present “a lot more than cars,” according to Mr Wright.

“For the first time in Queensland, Bentley will present the ‘Be Extraordinary’ exhibition, showcasing every facet of the bespoke process in creating a Bentley,” he said.

“Visitors to SCIBS will be able to immerse themselves in the Bentley brand and all it entails.”

Also from the Bentley stable is the exquisite Bentley Continental Supersports, which is the world’s fastest, most extreme, four-seat supercar – the twin turbo W12 engine can reach zero to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds.

Then there’s the Bentley Bentayga diesel, boasting a triple-charged V8 diesel engine making it the most powerful SUV on the market.

Supercar Street will dazzle and delight the aficionados and newcomers to motoring. Other highlights include the Lamborghini Aventador S, Maserati Levante SUV and a comprehensive range from the Maserati stable alongside Maritimo Motor Yachts.

The southern hemisphere’s premier boating festival attracts more than 40,000 visitors to an unrivalled display of hundreds of boats and thousands of marine products in one spectacular waterfront location across four days.

Featuring everything from luxury superyachts, catamarans, motor yachts and sailing boats, to jet skis, fishing boats, RIBs, and the latest gear and gadgets, SCIBS caters to a variety of markets and interests.

SCIBS offers FREE park ‘n’ ride services from Warner Bros. Movie World, along with limited on-site parking, available pre-paid only.
