Selene Yachts has established an Australian base after an absence of 15 years in the local market, headed up by long-time owner, Terry Goldacre and boat builder, Ben Appo.
At their 23 August launch event, two Selene Classic Explorer models were on display – the Selene 66 and Selene 49 – with the Selene 66 elevated and illuminated on the hardstand in front of their offices at The Boat Works in the latest boutique building on-site, known as “The Wharf”.

Thrilling, engrossing, it was simply sporting brilliance and a huge advert for the Louis Vuitton Cup that starts 29 August.

Hamilton Island Race Week officially opened with a bang Saturday 17 August, marked with fireworks at the Nautilus Marine Insurance Yacht Owners and Skippers Welcome Cocktail Party.
Racing got underway on Sunday, despite a lengthy postponement due to lack of breeze, and the first round of winners was announced.
Racing commences today at 11am, wind pending.
