McConaghy Boats has launched its latest powercat, the McConaghy MC82p, following a successful sea trial in Hong Kong.
McConaghy, which has manufacturing facilities in Australia and China, says the McConaghy MC82p is an all-rounder catamaran suitable as a long-range cruiser, family yacht and coastal weekender, and also makes an ideal platform for commercial charter.
The designers have maximised the yacht’s internal volume, in a bid to challenge preconceived standards of yacht interiors. The main deck has an expansive saloon lounge with a dining area and an open-plan galley, creating a welcoming and spacious atmosphere.
The aft deck also offers a vast space with sofas and al fresco dining, allowing for enjoyable moments surrounded by the open sea. For those seeking a cosy retreat, the forward exterior lounge gives a spot to unwind and take in the views.

The flybridge aboard the McConaghy MC82p features an informal dining area, freestanding lounge furniture and a BBQ positioned aft.
Four seaward-facing double cabins provide unparalleled comfort for extended journeys. Additionally, two crew cabins and a utility room help ensure that all aspects of the voyage are attended to.
The standard spec MC82p is equipped with twin 875-hp engines, which can reach a top speed of 28 knots and cruise effortlessly at 10 knots. With an 8,000-litre tank capacity, the maximum range at a cruising speed of 10 knots is 4,000 nautical miles.
The McConaghy Multihull range has been created in collaboration with world-leading designers. The yard says its catamaran series, which ranges in size from 55ft to 115ft and features both sailing and power vessels, offers clean lines, luxurious living spaces and a modern design dynamic that enables more comfortable cruising and better performance.
With small production runs, McConaghy says its focus on quality control and close working relationship with the client delivers the benefits of a full-custom build with the confidence of a proven hull design for a reduced cost.
All models in the McConaghy Multihull range are customisable.
