In 2023, Lagoon introduced a furling boom option for models from 46 to 51 feet, including a furling mandrel that is not enclosed in a housing, allowing the crew to monitor and control sail handling operations such as hoisting, reefing and furling. The absence of a casing also reduces weight and the risk of damage during gybing on new editions, including the Lagoon 46 and 51 Iconic editions.
Lagoon Neo program
Lagoon used its Exclusive Days event to confirm more details of the Neo line, launched at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival. This programme offers a comprehensive refit for older Lagoon catamarans at Groupe Beneteau facilities. The process begins with a technical evaluation, followed by work determined according to the vessel’s condition and customer preferences.
The first model refitted through this process is a Lagoon 620 built in 2012. Lagoon says that each vessel is brought in line with current standards and undergoes the same testing as a new build.
Over 70 percent of uninstalled equipment is repurposed during the work, according to the yard. On completion, vessels are covered by a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Three refit pack options are available: Standard, Silent and Premium. These packages may include structural checks, electrical upgrades, lithium batteries, solar panels, interior updates and new or refurbished equipment. Lagoon confirms that hull repainting is also available in certain configurations. Depending on the scope of work, the process is expected to take approximately four to six months.
All refits carried out through the Neo programme are supported by Lagoon’s international dealer network, which includes more than 230 service points worldwide.
