Lagoon — the cruising cat brand of Groupe Beneteau — has introduced the Eighty 3, the latest addition to its motor yacht range and the older sibling of the Eighty 2. Developed with VPLP Design, exterior designer Patrick le Quément and Nauta Design, the model is certified under 24 metres and reflects Lagoon’s continuing work on customisable superyachts.
“The Eighty 3 is an homage to savoir-faire and to the freedom to explore,” says Thomas Gailly, Lagoon brand director.
The yacht features an aft cockpit that opens directly to the sea, arranged to suit individual owner requirements. The modular aft swim platform, covering up to 22sqm, can be adapted as storage for a tender or jetski, or as a lounge space. The flybridge offers 50 square metres of configurable area for relaxation, entertaining or helm operation. A forward cockpit provides seating for up to eight people, with panoramic views and shelter from sun and wind.
“The Eighty 3 embodies the perfect balance between motor yacht design and the elegant, timeless style of Lagoon,” says Massimo Gino, director of design at Nauta.

The helm station is located forward on the flybridge and equipped with Raymarine displays and joystick controls. Solar panels integrated into the bimini and roof are paired with a lithium battery pack to supply renewable power to on-board equipment. The yacht’s fuel capacity provides autonomy of 3,500 nautical miles.
“The Eighty 3 is the product of combined talents: those of the Bordeaux shipyard, among the most emblematic in the world of superyachts, and of brilliant naval architects, renowned in the world of catamarans,” says le Quément.
On the interior, the saloon connects the aft and forward cockpits with a flush floor layout. The space can be reconfigured into different arrangements, while panoramic windows bring natural light and views of the sea. Materials include marble tables, braided leather armchairs, decorative glass panels, stone countertops and brushed wood finishes.
The owner’s suite features a king-sized bed with sea views, a private terrace and an additional lounge area.
“We have worked on the smallest details, which are never just details, because the design is a whole, and everything must contribute to its appeal,” says le Quément.
Lagoon has also focused on improving the environmental impact of the yacht’s construction. The hull is made using a low-carbon resin that combines 45 percent bio-sourced and recycled materials, representing a 50 percent reduction in reduction in the carbon emissions impact of the resin, according to the yard. The shipyard reports a saving of 10 tonnes of CO2 per yacht as a result.
“From the beginning, we have built with pride a total of 88 boats of over 75 feet, of which 52 were Seventy 7s and Seventy 8s, and 36 were custom-built one-offs,” says Gailly.
The Eighty 3 was presented at the International Multihull Boat Show in April 2025, the Cannes Boat Show in September 2025 and will have its world premiere at the Miami Boat Show in February 2026.
