Castoldi and Nauta have collaborated on the new Jet Tender 34 Limo, marking Castoldi’s first model in the limousine tender segment.

The project combines Italian firm Castoldi’s experience in waterjet propulsion and semi-serial production alongside Nauta’s design expertise, resulting in a tender developed for a fleet of luxury cruise ships currently under construction in Italy. Each of the ships will carry four Jet Tender 34 Limo units for passenger transfers, supported by two customised Jet Tender 28 SV vessels for luggage and service use.

“This project represents a new chapter for Castoldi that expands our offerings to new markets, while maintaining the commitment to innovation, quality, and luxury we are known for,” says Giacomo Castoldi, CEO of Castoldi.

“The opportunity arose to enter the limousine tender market with a semi-serial product that fully embodies our construction philosophy of creating optimised vessels rather than one-offs. We needed the perfect design partner for this, and Nauta was the obvious choice.”

“We were thrilled to push the boundaries of what is possible in tender design,” adds Guido Valtorta, director at Nauta. “Typically, limousine tenders are custom-made for large yachts, but this project allowed us to merge bespoke luxury with the efficiency of semi-serial production. This is a truly unique solution in the tender market and we’re very happy to work with Castoldi for the new Jet Tender 34 Limo.”

The tender offers multiple boarding points from the stern, amidships and bow. The interior has been arranged to maximise circulation and headroom, with wrap-around windows for natural light and a configurable cockpit that can be adapted for passenger transfers or social use. A dual-purpose pantry and toilet area is included. Castoldi says attention has been paid to lighting and material selection to create a refined atmosphere.

“We wanted to create a tender that was not only functional but also subtly luxurious,” says Valtorta.

“Our goal was to strike the perfect balance between technical innovation and Italian style, ensuring that the design remains timeless yet perfectly suited to the modern demands of the luxury yachting world.”

Castoldi’s waterjet propulsion system and ACES electronic controls provide manoeuvrability, efficiency and safety. The air conditioning system can cool the cabin within 15 minutes, and hidden ventilation in the rub rail reduces mechanical noise. The modular design also allows the tender to be adapted to Open Limo and Support Vessel versions.

“The Castoldi Jet Tender 34 Limo is a platform that offers flexibility and adaptability,” adds Giacomo Castoldi. “The modular nature of the design allows us to offer bespoke solutions efficiently. We’ve created something that can evolve according to the needs of each individual client.”

Luca Taccani, commercial director at Castoldi, says: “This collaboration between Castoldi and Nauta has ensured that the design didn’t just look beautiful but performed at the highest level. We’ve integrated technical systems in a way that enhances both comfort and aesthetics, creating an experience where innovation and luxury go hand-in-hand.”

The first Jet Tender 34 Limo is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2025, with the model also being presented at the Monaco Yacht Show later this month.
