The arrangement also ensures the shipyard’s leadership remains directly invested in the company’s long-term future, reinforcing what shareholders describe as one of CdM’s strongest competitive advantages: the close alignment between ownership and management.
Cantiere delle Marche thanked Tom Schroeder and the wider Fil Bros team for their longstanding partnership and support over the years. The yard also added that Fil Bros’ confidence in the business, together with its consistent backing of the management team, have played an important role in CdM’s growth and in strengthening its reputation as one of the world’s leading builders of explorer and displacement yachts.
With the ownership structure now fully consolidated, CLP2 reaffirmed its commitment to the four-year business plan currently underway, which the company revealed is performing ahead of expectations across key metrics.
CdM enters this next phase with a strong order book, an expanded team, a defined product strategy and the financial stability to support its long-term ambitions. According to the company, the transition also further reinforces the strategic direction already in place.
The transaction was advised by Poggi e Associati, with the team led by Emanuele Gnugnoli alongside Tommaso Sacchi, Marella Lavarone and Massimo Castiglioni; and CdM praised the group’s expertise and support throughout the process.
Founded in 2010, Cantiere delle Marche is an Italian shipyard based in Ancona, specialising in the design and construction of custom explorer and luxury yachts. The yard recently launched a series of new explorer yachts, including the latest units from its Acciaio, Darwin and Deep Blue ranges, further strengthening its position in the long-range expedition yacht sector.
