Inkfish has taken its ocean ambitions to another l Inkfish has taken its ocean ambitions to another level with RV11000, a new 162-metre research vessel now in build with Vard.Designed for deep-sea science, submarine support, seafloor mapping, corer operations and ROV work at depths of up to 11,000 metres, RV11000 is set to become one of the most advanced private research vessels ever commissioned. The vessel will accommodate up to 130 crew and scientists, with high-level accommodation, laboratories, offices and workshops, along with one of the largest battery systems ever installed on a ship, enabling silent, zero-emission scientific operations. And RV11000 is just one part of the wider Inkfish armada.Gabe Newell’s fleet already includes Leviathan, the 111-metre @oceancoyacht flagship, Rocinante, the 78.5-metre @luerssenyachts superyacht, Draak, the 92.8-metre Oceanco vessel, Game Changer by @damenyachting, Dagon by Tacoma Boat Building and Hydra by Auroux.Still to come are a 35-metre custom sportfisher in build at New Zealand’s @yachtingdevelopments and the 100-metre RV6000 research vessel, also with Vard.
Luxury, science, submarines, aviation, diving, research and serious ocean ambition, this is a fleet with a mission.Read the full story, link in bio.

Italian naval architect, Valerio Rivellini brings Italian naval architect, Valerio Rivellini brings a distinctly modern Mediterranean sensibility to the global boating stage, blending performance, innovation and unmistakable style.Visiting Australia for the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Rivellini spoke with @oceanmagazine_au about the two @cantiere_mimi boats on display — the Libeccio 13.5 Cabin and Libeccio 11 Cabin, offering locals a rare insight into his design philosophy.Known for pushing boundaries while remaining grounded in practical seakeeping, Rivellini’s approach is as much about how a boat feels as how it performs. In this conversation, he reflects on the evolution of his studio, the thinking behind the Libeccio range, and why Australia’s boating culture presents an exciting new frontier for his designs.@boatology.com.au
