MY Galego is the third boat of the 102’ feet explorer series, following the MY Acala and MY Babbo. Built in aluminium and steel Galego was engineered by Hydro Tec.

Galego left the port of Ancona in June and will sail on a continuous cruise through the Adriatic coasts until Greece and Turkey. The owner and his family will remain on board until the end of summer.

The new yacht contains a series of unique customisations, particularly with regards to function and design. The many spaces onboard have been designed and readjusted in height and the interior height allowances were increased to 2.18-metres. Subsequently, all the doors and windows were readjusted to allow for more space.

The technical standards of Cantiere delle Marche have also been maintained in this new model.

The steel hull is 12 millimetres thick, and the cupronickel piping, independent rudders, automatic generator parallel (three generators), electric fins stabilisers, as well as wastewater treatment systems for black, gray, and bilge waters have been adapted from the world of work ships and designed to be used 24-hours every day of the year.

Significant detail has been given to the layout of the garage. It has been designed to hold numerous toys and transportation vehicles, as well as a complete driving centre.

The sundeck was custom designed for both a lounge area, with a sofa, tables and a bar, and a fully equipped open-air fitness area with a pool.

The interior design of MY Galego was proposed by yacht designer Pierluigi Floris.

The style is warm and welcoming, and the walnut wood tones complement the leather that covers 90 percent of the walls of the yacht.

The theme is pairing classil style and modern touches, especially in terms of accessories and free standing pieces of furniture. This includes the Minotti and Baxter pieces.

The design of the kitchen emphasises the light from the large windows. To complement the light that pours in white stainless steel has been chosen for all the accessories and appliances, including the blast chiller freezer, a double wash area, and a water dispenser.

The large wheelhouse is positioned at the bow and reveals a full leather customised cockpit. The MY Galego has four cabins for the guests (a master, one VIP, and two guest cabins), and three crew cabins along.

There is also a Captain’s double cabin adjacent to the cockpit.
