This year is the 50th anniversary of the founding of Besenzoni, maker of innovative marine accessories.

The company was founded in 1967 by Giovanni Besenzoni on the banks of Lake Iseo, in Sarnico, Italy. Today the company is a global reference for nautical accessories and at its heart, Besenzoni still retains the core values of man and his craftsmanship.

Throughout the years Besenzoni has strived to preserve its manufacturing flexibility. This enables the brand to offer a wide range of tailored products that have been developed following the indication of architects and designers.

Besenzoni designs and constructs products for commercial and leisure boats, characterised by simple and functional designs that are based on strict structural studies and scrupulous testing. 50 years after it was founded, Besenzoni continues to grow with 187 sales offices in 50 countries and a direct service network of 164 workshops across the world that are all coordinated by the head office.

The production is divided into seven collections- gangways, tender launch and towing systems (cranes, bridge cranes, hydraulic platforms, sliders), helm seats and chair supports, bathing ladders, table bases, custom projects and carbon line.

Besenzoni has 60 patents and numerous prizes and awards, such as the 2002 Design Award at METS.

In 1973 Besenzoni became the first to introduce the stern platform with ladder and 10 years later, they invented hydraulic gangways with remote controls.

Other Besenzoni innovations include tender cranes, helm seats, electric side doors and patio doors, hydraulic bathing ladders and side ladders, hard tops and boat awnings, tender sliders, and electric windows. More than 170 product lines bear the company trademark that can be found on many boats around the globe.

The Italian Naval Register has recognised the high standards of product quality produced by the brand.

This recognition arrived in 1993 when Besenzoni became the first company in the sector to obtain certification of its production process ((UNI EN ISO 9000:2001). In 2003, further recognition arrived with the brand receiving certification of its entire quality management system (UNI EN ISO 9001:2000).

Today, Giovanni’s son, Giorgio Besenzoni, is the CEO of the company.
