Nautor Swan and Edmiston partner
Nautor Swan and Edmiston also used Swan Talks to announce a broader commercial partnership to develop a new range of alloy yachts over 40 metres, with the first design led by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design. The collaboration supports the Nautor Swan for America initiative, which began with its partnership with American Magic, with Edmiston’s Newport, Rhode Island office acting as the operational base for sales and promotion.
Perotti says: “We acquired Nautor Swan to complement our product offering, entering the sailing segment with the most iconic brand. Sanlorenzo and Nautor Swan share similar values, catering to a club of ‘connoisseur’ yachtsmen who are passionate about the sea. We are actively exploring new markets, and have exciting plans ahead of us with sailing also positioning itself as a sustainable choice.
“Our partnership with Edmiston is a natural progression of our shared vision which opens up new opportunities for the future of both brands.”
Edmiston has confirmed its role in the Alloy 44 project. Brakenhoff notes: “For Edmiston, this partnership is a natural step. Nautor Swan is one of the most legendary brands in sailing. We believe in the Swan Alloy 44 project and its potential to set a new standard in a superyacht sailing market that holds growing appeal.”
Through this partnership, Nautor Swan aims to promote performance sailing in the United States, building on its work with American Magic and the new ClubSwan 28 American Series.
Nautor Swan has revealed that the Alloy 44 will be followed by up to two further alloy models exceeding 50 metres. Alongside this, a Bluewater line named SwanScape is in development. These projects will sit alongside the Maxi and ClubSwan ranges.
