The Ferretti Group is one of the biggest names this year at the 40th Cannes Yachting Festival, with six premieres among their 25-yacht fleet, ranging in size from eight to 37 metres.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, and chief commercial officer, Stefano de Vivo, presented this year’s financial results, with figures they say exceed expectations.

“For the nautical world, Cannes is like the Oscar night,” said Galassi. “On this occasion, one can tell who are the yacht builders that really count, who is truly growing and at what speed. It is no coincidence that our group has the largest number of yachts on display and the greatest number of global premiers amongst all participants: six world premier models of open, coupe, flybridge and maxi yachts, representing four of our brands. It is the confirmation that our industrial plan is proceeding in the best possible way.

“These new models, alongside the others on display, represent a fantastic fleet. Moreover, today in Cannes we also announce brilliant financial results. It doesn’t come as a surprise that the first eight months of 2017 have been characterised by an order book in line with our goals and sound financial data.”

FERRETTI YACHTS 920

This gigantic new vessel has the same stylistic design features that have modernised Ferretti’s other recent launches.

The yacht’s hull measures 23.98 metres, which means it can be registered as a recreational craft.

The first major new feature involves raising the height of the bow. As well as giving the yacht an imposing presence on the water, this has allowed the addition of a wide-body master suite on the main deck.
The detailing on the gunwale, which also helps to emphasise the yacht’s aggressive character, continues beyond the bulwark walkways, cutting into the design of the windows in the master cabin.

According to Ferretti, this flybridge is a true standout thanks to its monumental forms, its functional flexibility and the vast spaces in its bow area, all of which can be used by guests.

“2017 has been another year full of all sorts of exciting news for Ferretti Yachts, which is celebrating another memorable occasion: the outstanding Ferretti Yachts 920 technical launch,” said Stefano de Vivo.

“We are sure that this new model, like our other yachts, will attract a great deal of interest in Europe and the United States, where it will be presented in the coming months and help to get a landmark year for the brand underway.”

FERRETTI YACHTS 780

This 24-metre flybridge is a great blend of comfort, style, seaworthiness and safety. Its aerodynamic design is manifested in sleek lines and clean shapes, accentuated by the choice to resize the height of the hull’s topsides, to the benefit of the yacht’s overall sporty character.

The 780 has inherited many of the features of models launched over the last three years (Ferretti Yachts 550, 700, 450 and 850), and added some new elements. As such it’s the missing link between the under 70-foot fleet and larger vessels. The hull design, in particular, borrows Ferretti Yachts 450 and 550’s the stylistic feature of three windows that correspond to the guest cabins. In the superstructure we find a design reminiscent of Ferretti’s over 80-foot flybridge yachts, to which has been added the front and side dome at the helm station.

One new element is the beach club aft, thanks to the new tailgate operating system. Above the large swimming platform, the two sections that form the tailgate can be lowered together or separately. These contain two large sun pads which, once the tailgate is fully opened, transform the space into a relaxing hideaway close to the water. Ample storage spaces have been built into the sides of the companionway leading up to the cockpit.

PERSHING 9X

The second chapter of the new Generation X is a maxi coupe with aggressive lines and lavish comfort. The new 9X has carbon fibre as the main construction material, along with fiberglass and epoxy resin. The result is a powerful yacht in the sea, rich in high quality fittings. The 9X is equipped with a number of the latest technological innovations to improve the navigation experience and ease of manoeuvring, even in confined waters.

RIVA 56’ RIVALE

The 56’ Rivale is characterised by elegance and sportiness, thanks to the design elements that have made Riva open yachts unique in the world. The new 56-foot Riva yacht is a boat with a unique style, excellent performance at sea and cutting-edge technological systems. It combines attention to every detail with the use of the finest quality materials – from the high gloss mahogany of the interiors to the natural teak of the exteriors, as well as lacquered finishes, stainless steel details, mirrored and glazed surfaces, and fine leathers.

RIVA 100’ CORSARO

A direct descendent of Riva’s other models, the new flybridge yacht is a blend of comfort, performance, style and safety. Its majestic size is complemented by a sporty look distinguished by a sleek outline, metallic colours in dark shades and broad expanses of glass.

CUSTOM LINE NAVETTA 33

The Navetta 33 introduces considerable technical advances to the series, building on innovations of previous Custom Line models. The design under the waterline continues in the direction first taken by the Navetta 37. The hull of the Navetta 33 features a bulbous forward to ensure performance at the top of its class in terms of seaworthiness, stability and, most of all, efficiency in any environment. The yacht offers fabulous spaces to owners and their guests across all four decks.

The group expects to close the year with a total purchase order for serial brands of around 400 million Euros.

In addition to the 6 new yachts, Ferretti Group’s fleet in Cannes is composed of:

–  Ferretti Yachts 450, Ferretti Yachts 700 and Ferretti Yachts 850

–  Pershing 5X, Pershing 62, Pershing 82 and the maxi coupé Pershing 108

–  Itama 75

–  Iseo, Aquariva Super, Rivamare, 63’ Virtus, 76’ Perseo, 76’ Bahamas, 88’ Florida and 88’ Domino Super for Riva
brand

–  Custom Line’s Navetta 37

As usual, the Ferretti Group is collaborating with numerous prestigious luxury partners during the festival to further enrich the unique experience of visitors and shipowners, beyond yacht visits and sea trials. Maserati, sponsor of the entire festival, is providing a courtesy car service for the Group’s guests, while Globeair is the groups official partner for private air travel.
