Just 5 months after the sale of a new 180-foot Amels 180 from the Amels Limited Editions range was announced, the 55-metre yacht named Nomad has emerged from Dutch luxury yacht builder’s yard in Vlissingen.
Nomad is already the second Amels 180 to be launched this year and with her striking and unique paint scheme, she is the perfect example of the successful Amels Limited Editions approach, combining individual design choices with fast delivery.
The owner created the bespoke colour scheme in collaboration with exterior designer Tim Heywood and the Amels design team, with a blue tone hull and anthracite grey superstructure for an uninterrupted geometry highlighting the long lines on Bridge Deck and Sun Deck.
The custom interiors are by the owner’s choice of designer Bonesteel Trout Hall, a California-based boutique residential studio, working in collaboration with Amels interior specialists.
“The owner and his family have been very involved in the custom exterior and interior design,” explains Rutger Dolk from the Amels commercial team.
“Creating such a bespoke yachting experience while still offering delivery in less than a year is a great compliment to our design and project teams and demonstrates how well our Limited Editions approach works.”
Further standout features include the impressive 180 square metre Sun Deck, the Main Deck Owners Suite with folding balcony, plus a wide-body Bridge Deck Sky Lounge.
The Amels 180 has proven full displacement naval architecture with a large volume, offering strong and stable seakeeping behaviour for excellent comfort and global range. The logical layout and properly-sized storage for equipment is a direct result of the larger volume, ensuring no compromise for journeys requiring extended periods of full luxury service at sea.
