Responding to this strong market interest, CdM and Horacio Bozzo have developed the Deep Blue 115 as a natural evolution of the original idea, retaining the bold identity and functionality of Acala while redesigning the platform to meet the demands of her owner. Giorgio M. Cassetta has been entrusted to create yacht’s interiors that matched with the overall feel of the exterior lines.

What began as a unique project has evolved into a new opportunity for us to further explore and develop a design language that clearly resonates with our clients.

“We had met the clients who would become the Owner of the Deep Blue 115 during the 2024 Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, and the contract has been successfully completed thanks to the collaboration with Jamie Swaine from IYC’s London office.

A couple with a great passion for yachts and design with a taste for excellence, the owners entrusted us with the creation of a yacht that met their requirements, resulting in a vessel replete with cutting-edge technical specifications,” Buonpensiere maintains.

The Deep Blue 115 embodies CdM’s core philosophy: combining seaworthiness, efficiency, and long-range capability with contemporary design and exceptional comfort. Designed for extended cruising in all conditions, the yacht features generous volumes, optimised layouts, and the rugged reliability that has become synonymous with the CdM name.

“We conceived the Deep Blue 115 as a truly pocket gentleman’s superyacht with a strong explorer DNA and designed her lines to stand the test of time with elegance,” says exterior designer Horacio Bozzo.

We successfully incorporated all the signature features of the larger yachts in her range. Rather than simply scaling down the lines and volumes, we redesigned them to suit the required dimensions.

The result is an exceptionally well-balanced yacht, where each element combines elegance with functionality.”

MAIN DESIGN FEATURES

Bold and elegantly flared, the Deep Blue 115’s bow features the range’s signature ‘beak look’: a distinctive design achieved by introducing a subtle gap between the upper section and the main hull. This refined detail extends from the bow all the way to the overhang of the upper deck’s stern, lending the yacht a sense of lightness and motion.

The Deep Blue 115 features more than just large windows: on the forward section of the main deck, they serve as a defining design element that shapes the yacht’s entire profile. These windows become a signature feature of the project, distinguished by their mullions that appear to float, subtly detached from the superstructure.

The cockpit, designed with functionality and relaxation en plein air in mind, gives easy access to the main indoor living areas. It includes a swimming pool, ample seating, and convenient storage. A generous swim platform not only enhances the entire beach area comfort but also adds sleekness to the yacht’s overall profile, ensuring both aesthetics and function are balanced.

Another unique feature is the tender garage is situated aft, with an opening hatch to port.

MAIN TECHNICAL DATA

With an overall length of 35 metres and a beam of 7.55 metres, Octopus is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 engines (IMO Tier III), each delivering 533 kW. This propulsion setup, supported by fuel tanks with a total capacity of 45,000 litres, enables a top speed of 13.5 knots and ensures efficient long-range cruising of up to 5,500 nautical miles at 9 knots. The yacht has a displacement of 325 tons and a Gross Tonnage of 299GT.

Accommodation is provided for up to 10 guests (+2) across five suites, including the owner’s quarters, while a crew of seven is housed in four dedicated cabins.
