Okay, imagine you, your favourite person, a freestanding bathtub under the stars (yes, really), and no one else for miles except maybe a duck or two gently drifting by on your own private lake. Welcome to Lakeside Canopies, the newest (and possibly most deliciously romantic) escape at Parklands Blue Mountains, in the very dreamy town of Blackheath.
Launched just in time for the Easter and Anzac Day long weekends (because someone at Parklands clearly understands the assignment), these new luxe canopy tents are set on a 28-acre heritage estate that looks like it fell straight out of a Jane Austen adaptation, only with better bathrooms and wine delivered to your room.
We’re talking super-chic glamping, darling. As in, 53 square metres of total bliss, complete with swooshy sheer curtains, muted earthy tones, high canopy ceilings (chandelier included, naturally), and beds so plush they might just utter, “you deserve this”.

And then there’s the bathroom. Sleek, private, and designed for the kind of showers that turn into performances.
Plus: reverse-cycle air con, built-in kitchenette, and a sun deck made for lounging with a paperback you’ll pretend to read while actually just watching dragonflies and going, “This is the life.”
And the setting? Oh, only the Grose Valley and the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park, just casually hanging out in the background being majestic and hikeable. The entrance is through grand gates, along a driveway flanked by trees so old and elegant they probably have names.
Lakeside Canopy B&B from $569 per night (for 2 guests), or Lakeside Canopy Gourmet Getaway from $779 per night (includes 3-course dinner at the fabulous Wintergarden at The Hydro Majestic).
So, if you’re in the mood for something wildly romantic, slightly bougie, and deeply peaceful, this is your sign. Pack your comfiest robe, your favourite novel, and someone who’s excellent at lighting a firepit.
