Oceanco released the details of its latest concept, the 120-metre Amara, during the Dubai International Boat Show this week. The newly designed and engineered private yacht concept is the result of a collaboration with Sorgiovanni Designs and has been dubbed a “resort” yacht.
“In designing the exterior lines of Amara, I wanted to portray a very strong and muscular form that was progressive in design but with a timeless appeal,” said director, Sam Sorgiovanni of the project.
The philosophy behind Amara is that the yacht would be used by extended families and friends, with up to 20 guests on board.
The profile includes a striking, extended bow with touch-and-go helipad and generous outdoor social spaces spread across five exterior deck levels.
The ubiquitous Beach Club has been employed to full effect on Amara, with an expanding swim platform extending out over the water, a large wellness area featuring a banya, hammam and beauty treatment lounge; a gym on the bridge deck has sweeping views of the surroundings.
A 16-seat private cinema is also located on the lower deck, though for alfresco entertainment a cabana on the sundeck also doubles up as an outdoor cinema.
