Tankoa Yachts has unveiled the S520, an evolution of its previous 50-metre model, the S501. The new yacht extends the platform to 52 metres while retaining the proportions of its predecessor.

The S520 has been designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, with exterior styling influenced by the previous model. Some of the notable features on S520 include a gun-metal grey hull, a revised wheelhouse glazing shape and profile lines that slope from stern to bow, creating a streamlined appearance.

A further key difference between the S520 and the S501 is the expansion of exterior spaces. The sun deck is both longer and wider and now includes an infinity pool, while the upper deck skylounge has been enlarged, and the flybridge has also been extended.

“The new Tankoa 520 stands out for her outdoor space, an area which has recently become a top priority for yacht owners who like to enjoy open-air spaces in many moments of the day,” says designer Francesco Paszkowski.

The redesigned stern connects the main deck, aft platform and beach club.

“For our latest design for Tankoa, we created a longer and more functional flybridge, designed a completely different stern – where the main deck, swim platform, and beach club are seamlessly connected – and integrated functional elements into the design.”

The stern has been redesigned to create a direct connection between the main deck, aft platform and beach club.

This area is arranged across two levels with flexible interiors. The space is well-lit, featuring a porthole facing the pool and two additional portholes along the hull. Two sunbathing areas are also integrated into the hull and remain accessible while cruising.

Functional elements incorporated into the design include a crane for the tender at the bow, integrated into the yacht’s structure. The gangway is built into the aft platform to maximise space, and staircases have been relocated to the port side to enlarge the upper deck aft, creating a dedicated entertainment area. The forward section of the upper deck is reserved for toy storage.

The Tankoa S520 builds on the S501’s design with added length.

The yacht’s interiors, designed by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, incorporate higher ceilings and larger windows.

Architectural elements such as overlapping panels and partitions create a fragmented visual effect, while the main deck’s living and dining areas are separated by panels while maintaining a sense of continuity.

The owner’s suite consists of a bedroom, lounge, study, walk-in wardrobe and vanity area, structured as distinct but interconnected spaces. Rounded shapes and materials unify these different levels.

Materials throughout the yacht help to establish a visual link between interior and exterior spaces, with a grey-toned colour palette continuing into the furnishings.

“We are so thrilled to showcase our latest S520 model created in collaboration with some of the best minds in the business,” says Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa.

“She is the epitome of Tankoa, bigger and better than ever and anticipating the future needs of owners in her winning combination of aesthetics and functionality. A modern and eclectic design, subtle details and sophisticated finishes define the new philosophy of the S520 – and we know it will be our next masterpiece.”
