Axopar Boats has revealed details of its forthcoming Axopar 38 range, with the first model, the Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin, scheduled to make its world premiere at boot Düsseldorf in January 2026.

This launch will be followed by three additional models, marking what the company describes as its most ambitious product line to date.

Axopar, which is based in Finland with production facilities in Poland, has developed the adventure boat category over the past ten years, producing vessels used by both commercial operators and private owners.

The yard says its new 38 range is designed to be suitable for long days on the water and overnight journeys.

Features are designed around both performance and livability, with multiple layout choices to suit different uses, including family cruising, fishing, watersports, and extended travel.

Jan-Erik Viitala, founding partner at Axopar Boats, says: “We believe boaters deserve the freedom of choice, and that’s why we have set out to redefine what a boat can be. We pioneered modularity – a difficult, costly, and time-consuming task – when others avoided it. With the Axopar 38, we have gone further than ever – our biggest investment and the most passionate development in our history.”

The Axopar 38 draws on the legacy of the Axopar 37, a model that remains a core part of the brand’s line-up.

The 38 XC Cross Cabin is designed as an all-weather boat and incorporates a reworked walkaround layout, an enlarged wheelhouse, and redesigned cabins.

Optional features include enclosed toilet and shower facilities, a kitchenette, gullwing doors, sliding roof, and foldable activity platforms. Inside, the wheelhouse offers rotating helm seats, a U-sofa with electric table that converts into a berth, and an upgraded front cabin with more headroom. The aft deck can be configured with a sofa, leaning post, or additional cabin with a sunbed top.

Viitala says: “On the Axopar 38 we’ve introduced new innovations and features never seen on an Axopar before. They are there for those who want them, offering true freedom of choice. At the same time, we have fine-tuned the already world-class drivability found on the 37, without compromising it in any way.

“The 38 carries the same unmistakable Axopar feeling, now with even more versatility, more comfort, and more possibilities than ever before.”

Technical specifications of the Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin include an overall length of 11.84 metres, a beam of 3.56 metres, and estimated weight of 6,380 kg when equipped. The hull is GRP with a twin-stepped 22-degree V design and a sharp entry hull. The model is expected to reach speeds of more than 45 knots and carries up to 830 litres of fuel. Power options are twin outboards of either 300 hp or 350 hp, and the maximum capacity is for 14 people, pending CE certification. Berths are configured for 2+2 with an additional optional berth.

The guide price for the Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin is €133,000 excluding VAT. The following models in the range will be the Sun Top, Cross Top, and CCX, due to be introduced through 2026 and 2027.

Twin-engine option for Axopar 45 range

Axopar has also introduced a new propulsion choice for its flagship Axopar 45 range, available from model year 2026. The update, revealed during a press conference at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, adds a twin-engine option powered by Mercury Verado V10 400 hp outboards, in response to customer demand for lower running costs and simplified maintenance.

The company notes that the new configuration demonstrates the efficiency of the 45’s 10-tonne hull, while offering performance comparable to triple-engine setups.

Until now, the 45 range has only been offered with triple Mercury Verado V8 300 hp or Brabus Performance Line V10 350 hp engines.

The twin V10 400 hp option provides a combined 800 hp, with reported top speeds of 45 knots and cruising speeds between 25 and 35 knots.

The change also frees up additional space on the aft deck, with a redesigned layout and wider bathing platforms improving access to the water.

A separate aluminium bracket relocates the engines further aft to enhance weight distribution and increase usable deck space. According to Axopar, the adjustment supports greater functionality and movement around the aft deck while maintaining stability and handling.

The option will be available on all three Axopar 45 configurations — the Cross Cabin, Sun Top, and Cross Top.
