Seasoned charter specialist Rebecca Montgomery has joined Luxury Charter Group as their new Charter Executive.
Prior to the role and her relocation to Australia, Montgomery had spent 30 years in Monaco, 15 of which were spent working up the ranks of the luxury full-service yachting company Camper & Nicholsons International.
Montgomery’s mother, Jillian Montgomery was then-CEO of Camper & Nicholsons International.
During her time with the Monaco-based company, Montgomery developed an impressive knowledge and network within the industry, becoming well-regarded for her work ethic, understanding of destinations and her connections with yacht managers and crew involved with the international charter yacht fleet.
Montgomery’s appointment to the Australian-founded Luxury Charter Group is intended to draw Australians to experience yacht charter vacations.
“I was always intrigued by this part of the world and the time was right to move to Australia,” said Montgomery.
The new Charter Executive later added that while she was enjoying semi-retirement when Luxury Charter Group’s CEO Jeni Tidmarsh approached her to join, the role was more than ideal.
“My specialty is building rapport with clients, working with them to ensure an optimal charter experience,” said Montgomery.
“Charter is not just about the yachts, the hardware. It’s about providing our clients with a customised experience, matching the right yacht to meet their aspirations, and creating the ultimate bespoke holiday experience.
“There are no mysteries. Clients have access to our vast knowledge of yachts and destinations worldwide at no extra cost, and we are diligent to ensure the booking process will be easy and enjoyable. We provide personalised itineraries and our intellectual knowledge ensures satisfaction and enjoyment.”
Tidmarsh expanded on Montgomery’s point, adding that Australians are eager to learn more about yacht charter.
“In normal times, we inspect over 500 charter yachts every year, attending charter shows all around the world. Together our worldwide team of professionals has over 100 years of collective charter experience.
“Rebecca will be introducing the brilliant charter opportunities for Australians here, and then, when travel regulations ease, showing them the wonders of charter in the rest of the world,” Tidmarsh added.
Tidmarsh went on to explain how, following COVID-19 and its restrictions, the appeal of chartering has become much more apparent. “It’s a private holiday. Crews are impeccably trained in hygiene protocols and guests can enjoy cruising to various destinations in complete safety and seclusion. It’s the ideal answer to self-distancing on holiday,” she said.
Founded in 1990, the Luxury Charter Group is a boutique company with offices around the world including Australia, New Zealand, the United States and throughout Europe.
