With the Sydney International Boat Show on the horizon (August 3-7), Riviera has announced that they will host the World Premiere of the stunning Riviera 68 Sports Motor Yacht on Thursday, August 3.

“The vision for the Riviera 68 Sports Motor Yacht came about as a collaboration between our customers and senior design team working together through a series of 3D computer modelled presentations considering what the Riviera of the future could look like and how it could function. It’s a unique blend of our proven history and future [vision] to give our long-term customers their ultimate yacht,” Rodney Longhurst, Riviera owner and Chairman, said.

“The owners we spoke with were seeking a ‘blue-water yacht’ that would combine long range performance with a good turn of speed when it’s needed. [This would give the owners] the ability to fish, dive, or provide the perfect platform to relax with family and friends.”

Moving around the yacht is easy courtesy of generous side decks and higher bulwarks that access the forward deck which has many features and options never seen before on a Riviera.

World Premiere Riviera 68 Sports Motor Yacht:

The Riviera Sports Motor Yacht collection has been designed to offer the exhilaration of sports performance with the luxurious comforts for which Riviera is internationally recognised.

The cockpit of the 68 Sports Motor Yacht offers everything a sports fisherman or water sports enthusiast could wish for, as well as plenty of space for entertaining.

The elevated alfresco mezzanine forward of the cockpit includes a large dining area and is connected with the central U-shape gourmet galley through a stainless steel framed door and large awning window that creates one large lifestyle space, positioning the chef at the heart of a very social environment.

On the port side of the mezzanine is a door leading to a staircase and the day head and shower. Adjacent to the day head is a utility room or comfortable crew cabin with direct access to the engine room.

The foredeck on the Sports Motor Yacht can include a large tender and 550kg hydraulic davit. When the tender is launched, this area quickly transforms to a fabulous eight-seater sunken entertainment centre that can be covered with a fold-away bimini.

The saloon features a plush lounge to port and a dining area that can seat up to eight people. This most relaxing space is enhanced by luxury fabrics, natural timbers and leatherette panelling. A large TV forward of the galley rises at the touch of a button and is comfortably viewable from both lounge and dining areas.

An internal timber staircase provides direct access to the flybridge, a space in which skipper and guests can enjoy extended passages or while at anchor.

A unique feature of this area is a fold-out double bed secreted under the aft lounge, offering a penthouse-like environment.

A stainless steel framed glass door and awning window connect the flybridge with an alfresco dining deck aft.

Versatile and luxurious accommodation:

The accommodation deck offers two stateroom options: the four-cabin Classic or the three-cabin Grand Presidential design with the full-beam master stateroom.

The World Premiere yacht has been built to include the classic accommodation layout with amidships master stateroom with ensuite bathroom along the starboard side. The VIP guest stateroom forward includes a walk-around queen-size bed and a private ensuite.

A third cabin aft of the guest stateroom on the port side features twin single beds that can convert to a double while a fourth guest cabin on the starboard side has two full-size (pullman-style) beds.

Technology at your fingertips:

The Riviera Sports Motor Yacht features an array of innovation and technology that includes next generation CZone digital switching which can interface with an iPad.

In the spacious engine room, power for these magnificent motor yachts comes from twin MAN V12 1550 engines, delivering 1,550hp (1,140kW) through V-drive shafts.
