Of all the good reasons to visit the Costa Smeralda, one of the most interesting is the Riva Lounge, which once again this year presents a classy space offering sophisticated cocktails and Riva-branded products in the magnificent setting of the Waterfront in Porto Cervo.
The main and stated aim of the initiative is to have fun and enjoy magical moments in the company of the legendary boat brand that in 2022 celebrates its 180th anniversary.
Building on the successful debut in 2021, Riva once again brings the Riva Lounge to the Costa Smeralda.
A fascinating and appealing initiative, it joins the other Riva Destinations set in exclusive locations including Venice, Monte Carlo, Formentera, Mykonos and Palm Beach. Decorated in classic 1950s Dolce Vita style, the locations feature hallmark details found on Riva yachts.
The initiative, promoted by Smeralda Holding, presents the Riva Lounge in conjunction with the Riva Inside, Inside Riva concept, which extends the brand’s values beyond the yachting sector.
Some of the world’s most famous hotels, restaurants and clubs – in locations close to a landing point for yachts – paint themselves with Riva’s hallmark aquamarine and mahogany brown colour combination, transferring the brand’s signature design, attention to detail and heritage to land.
The Riva Lounge, which was officially opened on 29 June in partnership with Waterfront Costa Smeralda can be visited until Sunday 4 September.
It’s the perfect fit for Porto Cervo’s new Waterfront layout, designed by Gio Pagani and featuring an elegant and inviting architectural concept.
All the furnishings in the Lounge have the same features typically found on Riva boats, giving owners a taste of this legendary brand and first-hand experience of the materials and woods used for almost 180 years.
Unique detailing – like the chrome, steel, lacquered mahogany and aquamarine cushions – conjure up at first glance the yachts of an unforgettable era and transport visitors into a fabulous Dolce Vita atmosphere.
Guest of honour at the Riva Lounge is Riva Aquarama, the new book published by Assouline to mark the 60th anniversary of the launch of Aquarama.
The new publication was officially presented in Venice on 11 June against the spectacular backdrop of the Gran Teatro La Fenice, during the exclusive event to celebrate the brand’s 180th anniversary. The book is now on sale from the Assouline website.
Completing the Riva experience are premium cocktails and drinks, created by talented mixologists and inspired by local excellence and the history of Riva, bearing the names of iconic yachts from the legendary brand.
The bar manager this year is Maurizio Muzzu, bar manager of the Li Neuli Country Club, an exclusive resort in the heart of Costa Smeralda whose cocktail and wine bar was recently awarded among the top ten in Italy.
Alongside top international luxury brands and the world’s most desirable yachts, also making their return this year are the Ferretti Group VIP Lounge, the temporary Riva boutique with a collection of unique, original objects in the brand’s signature style and the Range Rover House, Ferretti Group’s prestigious luxury automotive partner since 2019.
