The dawn of the supercats is heralding a new and intriguing option for yacht clients who want superyacht space but in a shorter LOA package. These new catamarans deliver exceptional floor square footage for truly dramatic living areas, with the added bonus of separate hulls for accommodation privacy and a wide and stable platform for more seakindly cruising.

Turkish builder VisionF Yachts is one of the builders leading the charge into big cat territory with its range of stylish power catamarans in aluminium. It is now making moves into even more spacious designs with the unveiling of a new flagship for its range – the 30.5-metre VisionF 100.

The new model is constructed entirely of innovative Kevlar composite for high strength-to-weight ratio, meaning a very light structure that is at the same time extremely strong, rigid and durable. Moreover, despite its size the 100 only draws 1.2 metres, making it perfect for exploring the Caribbean, Bahamas and other favoured cruising areas with limited depth.

The 30.5-metre flybridge catamaran shares the DNA and many of the features of her smaller siblings but, with the extra length and with a 12-metre beam, it’s all supersized to a superyacht level. Big interior and deck spaces are a hallmark of any cat, and the VisionF 100 is no exception. The sundeck, for example, covers 116 square metres with lounges, sunbeds, alfresco dining and a bar all more than comfortably accommodated.

Clever design touches abound too, such as the aft cockpit which offers dining for a full complement of guests with an ingenious lounge design where the backrest can be shifted to face the table or face a folding terrace suspended over the stern. On the foredeck there’s the option for a large, glass-bottomed spa pool with views to the sea below.

The main saloon covers an equally impressive 100 square metres and includes a dining room area. Full height sliding glass doors either side open onto drop-down bulwark terraces, and there’s an option for a luxurious, 30-square-metre forward-facing owner suite with private access to the foredeck.

“I’m happy to announce that we have sold the first VisionF 100 in Kevlar composite and we are going to deliver the catamaran in early 2025,” said Coskun Bayraktar, Founder and Owner of VisionF Yachts.

“We also plan to start building the second unit that will be launched in March 2025.”

In the two hulls, which can be configured to suit individual owners’ preference, there is space for up to six ensuite guest cabins, a fully equipped galley and, depending on the choice of guest cabin layout, as many as three crew cabins with separate access.

The VisionF 100 will be fitted with four Volvo Penta IPS 1050 engines for a maximum speed of 22 knots.
