The new 720 project from Ferretti Yachts, an eclectic and successful combination of inspirations, already made a huge splash at the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival, and in fact, the first unit was sold during the event.
Created in tandem by Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department, Ferretti Yachts 720 is the second project to sport an exterior designed by architect Filippo Salvetti in collaboration with Ferretti Group. The interior design, on the other hand, was created by the Group’s own architects and designers.
Numerous elements immediately grab the attention, starting from the eye-catching aerodynamic design with its sporty and harmonious lines that have become a signature of the Ferretti Yachts fleet, completely overhauled over the past three years with the arrival of Ferretti Yachts 670, 780, 850, and 920, each a pioneer in terms of style and comfort.
With a length of 22.30 metres and a beam of 5.60 metre, Ferretti Yachts 720 offers a number of functional and styling solutions that are exceptionally innovative for a vessel of this size.
The on-board experience stands out for the unparalleled levels of comfort, allowing owners to enjoy their yacht as if it were a true floating villa.
EXTERIORS
In keeping with the innovation process implemented on recent models, the external forward area stands out for its spacious, interchangeable living areas. The generous 30-metre-square flybridge, in carbon fibre and composite materials, is surmounted by a hard top available in 3 different versions: fixed window, built-in bimini, or adjustable louvres. The aft swimming platform, a true terrace on the sea with convertible chaise longues and ample storage, can house a tender up to 3.95 metres in length.
INTERIORS
The interiors of Ferretti Yachts 720 perfectly embody those concepts of well-being and home-like comfort that have become a hallmark of the brand. A large open-plan space is organised into three zones: the living area features two ample facing sofas and is separated from the raised dining area, which offers a remarkable degree of comfort for a yacht this size.
Located on the foredeck are the helm station integrated with the Naviop-Simrad Loop systems and the electro-hydraulic steering system, developed in partnership with Xenta. The lower deck features a 4-cabin layout. Amidships is the full-beam owner’s suite occupying a generous 20 square metres, while the starboard side houses two double cabins with separate beds, which share a bathroom that can also double as a day head. A VIP cabin with en-suite bathroom and separate shower is located forward. As is the case with the Ferretti Yachts 670, owners can choose between two styles for the interior design, with very different furnishing solutions and colour palettes.
Ferretti Yachts 720 will also be available in the exclusive Tai He Ban version, conceived specifically for the Asia Pacific market, which includes a service galley below decks and the addition of a dining room with round table on the main deck.
ENGINES
The first unit of Ferretti Yachts 720, equipped with twin MAN V12 engines capable of producing 1400 mhp, reaches a top speed of 32 knots with a cruising speed of 28 knots (preliminary data). In its standard configuration, the yacht installs twin MAN V8s with an output of 1200 mhp.
