In the wake of the successful 50-metre series by Tankoa Yachts and named after the famous opera house in Venice, the 68-metre FENICE is based on a new naval platform with elegant and streamlined, bold and dynamic exterior styling by Enrico Gobbi of Venice-based Team for Design.

“We understood each other immediately with Enrico and it was a pleasure to develop this project together,” says Giuseppe Mazza, Tankoa Sales and Marketing Manager.

“With the T680 we continue to expand the range of Tankoa yachts in order to offer the market an ever-increasing choice of unique projects. Like her namesake, the T680 FENICE is a triumph of poise, rhythm and grace.”

Encouraging guests and owners to bask in the outdoor spaces and revel in the indoor space, the circulation flow aboard the T680 FENICE has been studied to make the transition between the two as seamless and natural as possible for maximum relaxation and conviviality.

With aerodynamic lines and curves inspired by automotive and aeronautical design, the overall effect is beauty in motion.

The T680 FENICE epitomises production at the boutique shipyard based in Genoa, a city with a long and respected history of shipbuilding. More recently, the Tankoa brand has earned a reputation for creating superyachts that exude Italian artistry, creative flair and engineering excellence.

“This new project is the result of our desire to be recognised for who we are – a boutique shipyard able to offer a range of unique yachts designed by the best designers,” adds Eva Orsi, President of Tankoa.

“We are proud of this collaboration with Enrico Gobbi that highlights the unmistakable style, quality, beauty and know-how that goes into making our customers’ dreams come true.”

“From the very first moment I started sharing my ideas with Tankoa, I knew I was in the right place with the right people. This is a project characterised by exclusive details that only a ’boutique’ shipyard like Tankoa can make the most of,” says Enrico Gobbi, Team of Design CEO.

“I believe that superyacht projects of this size have to be distinctive: born from a blank sheet of paper, developed and built to the highest quality standards which Tankoa has already proven itself able to do.”

The Opening Act

The open-air aft lounge on the main deck is the yacht’s astounding centrepiece. Covering an area of 100 square metres, this multi-level beach club comprises an infinity pool, gym, spa and lounge.

A glass-covered portion of the pool integrated into the centre of the deck leads guests directly to a protected terrace, like an orchestra pit, before entering the beach club proper.

Folding balconies on both sides of the hull increase the interior area and connection with the sea and twin staircases link the main deck to the stern platform. The whole beach area is designed to be the perfect playroom and chill-out zone.

Sala Grande

The main saloon opens a new scene and a new stage: a place of sedate comfort and style, the main deck saloon is at one with the terrace, and perfect as a reception space with full-height glass windows for panoramic views of the sea.

Forward of the main saloon are no fewer than two VIP suites and four ensuite guest cabins that all take advantage of the larger windows.

The lower deck is dedicated to the crew accommodation and services, including a pro-spec galley, hospital room and side-loading tender garage.

The Upper Circle

The upper deck provides a unique design as the open-aft deck morphs into a circular dining area, which thanks to full-height sliding glass doors can be enclosed or semi-open to the sun and sea breeze.

This dining room is linked to the sky lounge that has side balconies that can extend outward over the sea.

The Royal Box

The master stateroom is an exquisite 90-square-metre space of privacy and comfort with floor-to-ceiling windows offering 270-degree panoramic views.

With a huge walk-in wardrobe and palatial marble-lined bathroom, the suite has direct access to a private foredeck with sun loungers and a glass-fronted jacuzzi. The deck area doubles as a touch-and-go helipad for those grand entrances or dramatic exits.
