Coral Sea Marina named runner-up Best Superyacht Marina at this year’s ACREW Superyacht Business Awards.

Coral Sea Marina has been declared runner-up in the Best Superyacht Marina category at the 2021 ACREW Superyacht Business Awards with Europe’s Port of Montenegro taking the award.
This is the second consecutive year that Coral Sea Marina has been named runner-up in the category.

On receiving the award, Coral Sea Marina CEO Kate Purdie said, “We’re honoured to be recognised within this prestigious category.”
“This comes after receiving the Australian Superyacht Industry Service Provider of the Year earlier in the year and we couldn’t be more delighted to continue to support the superyacht industry.”

The recognition follows a solid year of domestic superyacht visitation to the Whitsunday region. Coral Sea Marina expressed in a press release that domestic superyacht visitation has increased by 13 percent.
The nomination to the ACREW Superyacht Business Awards echoes the general success the marina is experiencing, with nominations being dependent on a global network of more than 15,000 captains and crew people.
“The facilities are terrific with a crew lounge and all the facilities you could imagine,” said Captain Peter Cook of M/Y Playpen on his most recent visit.
“This is a definite stop on any yacht’s itinerary.”
Some of the site’s facilities include a berthing capacity of up to 80 metres, a resort village and a 77-room boutique hotel.
“Coral Sea Marina was an excellent staging point for our most recent Whitsunday’s charter,” added James Kennedy, Captain of the 75-metre Lady E.
“The marina managers, maintenance team and security detail were friendly, accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our provisioning, extensive deliveries and crew changeovers. Guest welcome was efficient and professional.”
