Dutch builder Wajer Yachts has confirmed the successful launch of the brand’s largest model to date, the Wajer 77. The debut represents the next stage for the 71-foot model, following its initial preview in April.
Hosted in the waters of the Côte d’Azur, the Wajer 77 launch also featured a reported figure of 40 other models and their owners. A fleet that, following the unveiling, continued onto the area’s Route 77 toward the beaches of Pampelonne.
“Welcoming the Wajer 77 at sea along with the entire Wajer fleet here in the South of France exceeded all my expectations and shows how strong our community is. It was an unforgettable day,” said the owner of Wajer Yachts, Dries Wajer.
“Wajer owners have gathered from all over the world for this moment. The first reactions are super positive, and I’m very proud of the success of this yacht. I can’t wait to show her to the rest of the world.”
Designed in partnership with Sinot Yacht Architecture and Van Oossanen Naval Architects, the Wajer 77 combines a superyacht finish with the brand’s signature innovations, including deck cooling, a hybrid fender system, an automatic roof and an electrically adjustable deck layout.
Wajer Yachts has also stated the Wajer 77 can sleep nine people and includes a 5-metre-wide master suite and three Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines, affording a top speed of 37 knots and a range of 400 nautical miles.
Wajer said in April, “We’ve noticed a growing desire among owners to travel the world over water.”
“At the same time, the larger part of our clientele prefers to be behind the steering wheel. The Wajer 77’s comfort and ease of control are designed to cater exactly to those combined needs.”
Wajer Yachts has stated that there are currently 17 orders for the Wajer 77.
