LILI was handed over to her owner – on time and on budget, according to Amels – just over 12 months after the contract was signed on the project in May 2017, with Imperial acting as broker for the sale.
Christened on 23 June at the company’s yard in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, LILI is a “highly customised” version of the 55-metre series platform designed by Tim Heywood for which Amels is well known.
She features an extended sun deck and expansive, four-metre custom-made pool with counter-current jets for swimming. The sun deck has been lengthened by Tim Heywood by three metres to a total of 28 metres (92 feet), taking its total area to an impressive 175 square metres (1,900 square feet).
On the bridge deck, there is an owner’s suite and an extended aft deck to maximise the private areas in which to relax. Her customisation includes three folding balconies to better enjoy the surroundings, including port and starboard folding bulwarks and sliding dining room doors to emphasise a connection to the surroundings, with the third folding balcony in the large VIP suite on the main deck.
