British luxury motoryacht manufacturer Fairline has unveiled the all-new Squadron 58 at the 2023 Southampton International Boat Show, which runs from 15 to 24 September.

Fairline also showcases the Squadron 68, F//LINE 33, Targa 45 Open, and Targa 45 GT at the 54th edition of the UK’s largest in-water boat show, which is based at Mayflower Park in Southampton.

The shipyard says the Squadron 58 is not ‘simply the next Squadron in our range; it’s an entirely new boat.’ Fresh features evident on the new 17.8m vessel include a new beach club design, with fold-down balconies that can lower at the push of a button to increase deck space on both sides of the yacht.

An integrated sliding submersible bathing platform doubles the usable deck space in just a few seconds, and then uses the extended space to create a step down into the water.

“In a British manufacturing first for yachts under 80 feet, the Squadron 58 offers power-down beach club balconies on both sides,” says Fairline sales director, James Powell.

“This creates an outdoor living space equal to an 80-foot yacht, which gives owners the feeling of something far larger but with the ownership and running costs of a yacht under 60 feet.

“This configuration lends itself to how our customers use their boat at anchor, with the market really being driven by outdoor space as much as accommodation, and the Squadron 58 exemplifies that.”

Indoors, the main deck offers an almost 360-degree view of the surroundings, and the neutral interior scheme, first seen on the flagship Squadron 68, offers an elegant, muted palette featuring soothing taupe, white and cream colourways, accentuating the feeling of space that continues below deck with a generous headroom throughout.

Powell adds: “The Squadron 58 demonstrates the latest in Fairline’s cutting-edge design, offering flexible and modular seating in the large cockpit complemented with a glass transom to enhance the connection to the water with unhindered views with the main deck boasting an almost 360-degree view of the surroundings.”

Fairline has confirmed 46 combined pre-orders of the Squadron 58 and Targa 40 ahead of its launch at Boot Dusseldorf in January.

Factory availability for most Fairline models is now early 2025, and the display model of the Squadron 58 at Southampton International Boat Show was sold within days of its debut.
