The sun shone bright on day 1 of The Sydney International Boat Show and Sydney Superyacht Marina’s on-water pavilion was abuzz as superyacht heads of interior, charter agents, naval architects and designers exchanged ‘Black Book’ contacts and trade secrets.
The Interior Motives Afternoon Tea networking event follows on from the successful inaugural Interior Motives Luncheon in May.
Guests indulged in artisanal pastries from Bourke St Bakery, individually brewed pots of teas from T2 and sipped on StrangeLove organic craft sodas served up with eco-friendly steel straws.
Sponsored by Sydney Superyacht Marina, Major Yacht Services and Boat Style Yacht Interiors, the event was an opportunity to bring together superyacht professionals in an informal atmosphere to exchange ideas, make new connections and build camaraderie.
Founder Sarah Egan said, “Interior Motives is a vital and vibrant industry initiative that strongly values interior crew. Bringing these amazing people together is a milestone in our industry and Interior Motives will continue to provide unique networking opportunities.”
Karine Rayson director of The Crew Coach said, “I really was impressed to see the Australian yachting community come together and show their support for one another. It is fantastic that you are so passionate and taking action.”
