Australian Marine Sales expansion continues with the addition of Whitehaven motor yachts.

Australian Marine Sales (AMS) is proud to announce its dealership of the Whitehaven Motor Yacht brand. It is the latest evolution in the Sydney-based brokerage headed by Jane McNeill and Travis McCurry.
“We are very excited to be working with Bruce Scott and his team. This relationship is the culmination of years of discussion to form such a strong bond and now is focused on the Whitehaven 6800 Sport Yacht currently in build,” said Jane McNeill, Director of AMS.
“I was introduced to Whitehaven Motor Yachts two years ago when clients of ours kept insisting on the synergy between the two groups. They were right. We share very similar philosophies on client relations, after sales service and where we would like our respective brands to go.”
AMS started in Sydney over eight years ago as an import and distribution business in the recreational marine sector. With a professional background in luxury marketing and high-end alcohol distribution, Ms McNeill created a strong database of clientele which saw the natural expansion into brokerage of luxury yachts over 50 feet.
It was then that co-Director, Travis McCurry, joined AMS bringing years of brokering and operating luxury vessels.

“In the last two years, our brokerage business has grown exponentially no more so than since COVID-19 hit our shores,” she continued.
“We simply don’t have the supply on the brokerage market for our clients. Our discussions with Whitehaven were developing and it was clear we shared a network, so it was timely when one of our clients were seeking a new yacht.
“We worked with them and the Whitehaven Motor Yacht’s team; now their Whitehaven 6800 Sports Yacht is in production and due in late 2021.”
Whitehaven Motor Yachts was launched in the Australian market a decade ago when founder and Managing Director, Bruce Scott, could not find what he wanted in a production boat. Working with boat builder Ryan Hanson, Whitehaven promised to build motor yachts specific to the clients’ needs and specifications list.
The brand launched with Mr Scott’s own Whitehaven 7000 Flybridge and since then has expanded to include the Harbour Classic 40, Flybridge, Sunbridge, Coupe 6000 models and now, the first of their 80-foot Sports Yacht launched in late 2020.
“As each build is different, we needed a dealer partner who would be able to work with the clients from inception to delivery and for us, AMS is that partner,” explained Mr Scott.
In addition to the partnership, AMS and Whitehaven Motor Yachts have co-located their offices in a new sales suite on Sydney Wharf in Pyrmont.
