The number of T52 hulls sold by Baglietto has risen to nine, just a few months after the presentation of the line’s first unit at the Cannes and Monaco yacht shows. No less, the signing of the order comes just a week after the announcement of the sale of the tenth DOM 133 for the Australian market, marking a success for the two reference lines of the Italian brand, based in La Spezia. which is celebrating its 170th anniversary this year.

Perry James, Managing Director and the team at Geoff Lovett International, the brand’s Australian and New Zealand representative, sold hull number 10 of the DOM 133 model to a Sydney-based couple.

As James states, “We sold the DOM 133 to a long-standing client we’ve worked with over many years. They are from Sydney, but the new boat will be most likely to be based on the Gold Coast, cruising the east coast to the South Pacific and Asia.”

The new DOM 133 is scheduled to arrive in April 2026. With an aluminium hull and 3,500-nautical-mile range, the 41-metre DOM 133 is ideal for the Australian market, explains James. “It offers huge volume and deck space, and the pool on the back deck was a very appealing feature.”

The Baglietto brand is making a strong impression Down Under, and James reports interest from several prospective owners. “We’re speaking with a few people – they’re very impressed with the quality, the level of customisation, the delivery times and 170 years of motor yacht building history.”

A new DOM 115 model, the 35-metre entry level in the DOM series with steel hull, is available for sale, with delivery in December 2025. “Being under 35-metres is an important point for the Australian market, and it has a huge volume and long-range cruising capacity,” says James.

Coinciding with the 170th anniversary of Baglietto is GLI’s 50th anniversary. “So, we have a lot to celebrate this year,” adds James. “We’re also opening an office at The Boat Works for Baglietto sales, which will open around June 2024.”

Speaking of the T52, Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto CCO says, “In just three years, we have sold as many as nine examples of this model, including two with hybrid motorisation. It’s a success that greatly highlights the shipyard’s ability to interpret the needs of an ever-evolving market and look to the future, without ever betraying its DNA.”

The T52 hull has been designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design for the exterior, in collaboration with Margherita Casprini for the interior.

“The strength of this project lies precisely in this consistency; in the ability to easily combine clearly recognisable stylistic features coming from the brand’s tradition with the need for a contemporary yacht, with a strongly distinctive personality and in step with the times,” continues Ermetto.

“It combines cutting-edge technology while keeping the lines in harmony with a timeless tradition that has lasted for 170 years.”

The client is represented by Petr Soldatkin of the agency Aberton Yachts, which will act as project manager during the yacht construction. The boat is scheduled for delivery in 2026.

“It’s the second hull of the T52 model [to be] signed with our agency recently,” says an Aberton Yachts spokesperson in a media statement. “The Aberton team is extremely proud of having strong relationships with Baglietto shipyard, and we are looking forward to even more impressive results in the future. We also wish the owner a remarkable and smooth yacht construction journey.”

Close contact with the sea in this yacht is ensured by the original open stern featuring a beach club that develops over three levels and has already become a recurring feature of Baglietto’s new design language.

The large pool can easily be concealed thanks to a moving flooring system that further extends the available deck surface when the pool is not being used.

On the upper deck, the wide floor-to-ceiling windows open on three sides to create an al fresco lounge, with a conversation area and a dining area to be enjoyed in all weather conditions. The huge sundeck is approximately 24 metres long and follows in the wake of Baglietto’s traditional displacement yachts.

Hull #10261 is equipped with two MTU 12V2000 M86 engines that will push it to a maximum speed of 17 knots.
