Arkup, the company behind the liveable yacht series and ‘glass houses at sea’, has 20 pre-orders on the books for its new Arkup 40, with the first model due to hit the water in Q3 2022.

Different configurations of Arkup 40 are available including a one-bedroom, two-bedroom and studio layout. The Arkup 40 measures 40-feet long, 16-feet wide and houses an upper deck rooftop lounge. The interior and layout design are fully customisable.

The company says the design epitomises its ‘live in the view’ philosophy, with the Arkup liveable yachts providing a one-of-a-kind home, guest house, floating office, gym or studio.

Steven Luguet, marketing and communications head at ArkUp, says “We already have 20 pre-orders. The main pre-orders are in US, but we are able to ship worldwide.

“Arkup 40 is the newborn in the Arkup family. Inspired by its big sister, Arkup 75, this livable yacht was designed to be our fun and friendly solution for a wider audience,” adds Luguet.

Luguet says the technological aspects and designs have been improved in the Arkup 40 and production is due to begin soon.

Arkup 40 boasts panoramic 7.5-foot, floor-to-ceiling, impact windows, and a modern interior that integrates you with the water and sky. Each floor plan has been carefully designed to optimise space while maintaining a house-like feel while at sea.

Customise your space with our three packages, which offer an embedded lounge, half-deck awning, summer kitchen with barbecue, minibar, outdoor shower and hot tub.

As Luguet asserts, “Arkup’s pioneering green-tech systems make Arkup 40 Solar-Electric Edition the most affordable, new-age green vessel on the market.

“We also provide a safe and traditional choice with our Diesel Edition. And if Arkup 40 will be stationary (no propulsion needed), then you have that option too, with or without Solar-Electric energy.

“The folding decks are made with catamaran netting that is perfect for lounging or sports, like launching your paddle board or jumping into the sea.

“Arkup has brought our renowned anchor and stabilising technology to Arkup 40 with our motorised retractable columns (spuds). You can choose from two spuds for a free float with no rotation, or four spuds for complete stability and the ability to lift off the water. This provides next-level safety, comfort, and stability over the water – a breakthrough for the yacht industry.”
