Sold in February 2015, Tankoa yachts’ Vertige is on track for delivery to her French owner in April 2017.
The Italian shipyard worked closely with Francesco Paszkowski to design the project, to deliver a 452-gross tonnage package with the type of amenities and equipment commonly found on much larger yachts.
The brief also meant owners and guest would be able to move about from deck to deck and from inside to outside, without interfering with the working crew.
The resulting S501 hull number one is a six-cabin yacht including main deck full beam owner and VIP suite, two VIP and two guest cabins on the lower deck.
The lower deck also houses the gym, home cinema, a 7-metre tender and tender garage. Floor to ceiling windows cut down on bulwarks to allow easy sight of the sea view. Lateral hydraulic foldout balconies in the owner’s main deck suite and on the aft deck add to the sense of space.
Having a consistent visual connection with the sea was one of the other tasks assigned to Francesco Paszkowski’s design team, who worked in cooperation with Margherita Casprini for the interior.
This first model in the S501 range, MY Vertige, is a full displacement version, offering a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots and 16 knots top speed. The boat is entirely built in aluminium light alloy 5083.
While still under the 500 GRT, Vertige offers amenities such as a large fly bridge and aft deck. The aft deck is equipped with an oversized sun pad, a reversed deck saloon, looking towards aft, and lateral three-meter-long foldout terraces to keep guests in contact with the sea.
The upper deck features a saloon with bar and an upper outdoor deck with dining table for 16 guests. There is also a wrap-around sofa for up to 20 people with a rertractable TV screen. The Beach Club/gym is situated in the transom.
