Maritimo’s founder Bill Barry-Cotter has been involved in every Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show since its inception.

The Maritimo on-water display at this year’s show holds special significance for Bill and Maritimo because it is the 30th anniversary of the show and also the world premiere of first of Maritimo’s new X series range, the X60. He and son Tom Barry-Cotter have collaborated on the design of the X-series range.

Integral in X-Series design is the versatile aft cabin space that enables high levels of custom-ability for owners to cater to the space to their specific requirements. Inherent in both the X60 and X50, the space enables an additional cabin accessible from saloon and swim platform, that can be arranged as Beach Club, Additional Stateroom, Tender Garage, Euro Galley and other custom options.

Inherent in the X-Series bloodline will be the company’s race driven performance prowess. With a complete new efficient shaft-driven hull and driveline design, the X60 has been tested at speeds up to 34 knots with 925hp Scania power, with excess speed capability available with Volvo 1000hp power option.

Hull efficiency within the cruising speed range was a major focus of the state of the art hull and driveline design. The X60’s class leading range and economy has been recorded at over 30 knot cruise and consumption rate of under 100L/h per engine at 27 knot cruise.

The company, celebrating its 15th year, will also have one of its largest on-water displays at SCIBS with a variety of several other models on show including the S70 sedan motor yacht and updated M 51 motor yacht and S 51 sedan motor yacht.

In addition to significant cosmetic updates, the S51 Sedan now includes a spacious new saloon configuration with ergonomic twin helm seat dashboard design, U-Shape opposing lounging and dining space and enhanced galley with island bench.

A new master stateroom layout also increases the area within the cabin and provides a more open feel, that mimics its larger relative, the S59.

Updates to the M51 Flybridge offer a new ergonomic twin helm seat dashboard design and further enhancements to the master stateroom.

Both models also now offer an optional mood lighting addition that elevate the level of comfort and enable the on board environment to be the perfect retreat.

“The fact that the Sanctuary Cove International Boat show is celebrating its 30th   year speaks volumes for the popularity and success of this exciting marine industry event,” said Barry-Cotter.

“I have personally been involved in the Sanctuary Cove show since its inception and it has a reputation nationally and internationally as one of the best on-water boat shows in existence.

“Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show has been one of the biggest sales generator of any of the shows we were involved in internationally. “In our best year in the recent past, we sold 36 new boats as a direct result of the show.

“Our display stand this year is one of the largest of any manufacturer at Sanctuary Cove and we believe the whole experience of the boat show in this location with all its various elements is what makes it such a draw card.”
