Rossinavi has introduced Seawolf X, a 42.75-metre hybrid-electric catamaran constructed from aluminium and designed with sustainability in mind.

The vessel features exterior architecture by Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design and interior design by Meyer Davis Studio, and is equipped with electric engines, batteries, solar panels and diesel generators, alongside Rossinavi’s artificial intelligence system, Rossinavi AI, which is designed to optimise performance and energy efficiency.

“This is a first step towards a new vision of recreational boating,” says Federico Rossi, chief operating officer of Viareggio-based Rossinavi.

“Until now, the world of catamarans has been divided between sail and motor, but we have now succeeded in developing a hybrid electric model that introduces a new style even for vessels of these dimensions.”

Rossi continues: “Additionally, we have installed an AI system on board capable of monitoring consumption. Thanks to machine learning, it will be able to self-learn, surely surprising us in the future. This represents an additional drive that Rossinavi has given itself to create an innovative trend and to highlight its construction and technical expertise. A vision that not only addresses the challenges of the present but also anticipates the needs of the future.”

The lower deck on Seawolf X consists of two symmetrical, watertight hulls, each containing a double cabin and a twin cabin with pullman beds, offering flexibility for guest accommodation. At the rear, the enclosed beach club provides a peaceful retreat, featuring a pool and sauna accessible through a custom-built transformer.

The main deck’s cockpit is designed for social activities, including a pool and two adjoining living areas, complemented by a large dining table for outdoor gatherings. The yacht’s 80-square-metre main salon serves as a versatile area for entertainment or relaxation, while the owner’s cabin, measuring 70 square metres, offers a skylight, walk-in closet, private gym and access to a terrace. This terrace has a separate entrance for the crew, ensuring maximum privacy for the owner.

The sundeck, covering 130 square metres, is designed for lounging and socialising, with a sunbathing area, shaded seating, a large bar, and an infotainment system integrated with the Rossinavi AI system. The yacht also includes 202 solar panels over 156 square metres.

Seawolf X offers three operational modes: full electric for 100 percent of one-day trips, electric mode for 90 percent of multi-day trips, and 80 percent electric for transatlantic crossings.

When the yacht is moored, a “hibernation mode” reduces consumption to a minimum, with solar panels able to return energy to the shore or to private properties. The yacht’s two diesel generators allow for quick battery recharge, and it can also be fully recharged from shore power in five hours.

Rossinavi has equipped Seawolf X with an advanced AI system designed to enhance the yacht’s eco-friendly potential while ensuring comfort. The AI monitors the yacht’s operations and adapts to the needs of guests, assisting the crew in maintaining efficient practices. It also helps manage the battery system, keeping it within optimal charge levels to extend battery life.

Rossinavi says its BluE philosophy, inspired by phytoplankton’s ability to harness solar energy, underpins the hybrid-electric design. Seawolf X operates in full-electric mode for one-day trips and up to 80 percent electric for transatlantic journeys, reducing carbon emissions significantly.

“This represents an additional drive that Rossinavi has given itself to create an innovative trend and to highlight its construction and technical expertise,” says Rossi. “A vision that not only addresses the challenges of the present but also anticipates the needs of the future.”

The exterior design features a low, sleek profile with a partially recessed wheelhouse, allowing for unobstructed views from the sundeck. The hull’s curvature and structural network enhance the vessel’s performance while maintaining stability.

Will Meyer, co-founder of Meyer Davis, describes the design process: “Seawolf X provided us with the opportunity to create something truly different for the yacht world—a catamaran that is elegantly designed but grounded in sustainability. We were inspired by Rossinavi’s commitment to conscious design, which guided us to lean into natural materials and thoughtful details.

“We added subtle, refined touches that make the spaces feel both welcoming and sophisticated for interiors that are meant to be enjoyed.”

The interior design follows a more sustainable approach, using recycled wool rugs, wire-brushed wood panelling, and woven raffia wall coverings. The Scandinavian-inspired design combines wood tones and natural textures with inviting hues to create a warm, residential atmosphere. Meyer Davis also focused on creating spaces suitable for hosting, balancing comfort and luxury with functionality.

Seawolf X has a length of 42.75 metres, a beam of 13.75 metres, and a maximum draft of 1.85 metres. It is built from full aluminium, with a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots, offering a range of 5,400 nautical miles at 8 knots. Cecil Wright & Partners manages the yacht’s charter bookings.
