Wider has launched a new 39.6-metre (130’) superyacht with a sporty and clean design from its in-house team that is very much in fitting with the Italian yacht builder’s current larger models. Clean lines, a vertical bow and ample glazing give the new WIDER 130 an appealing, modern look.
Accommodation for up to 12 guests in six generous cabins includes a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, featuring a study and starboard sea terrace. Wider comments that the design has been specifically created to give a light and airy ambience. This will be in no small part thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows and the 8.4-metre beam of the main saloon.
The ability to offer six suites on a yacht of this size would also make it an attractive proposition in the charter market, added Wider. Up to seven crew are accommodated in three lower-deck twin cabins and a captain’s cabin by the bridge.
On the upper deck, the sky lounge can be expanded to open directly onto the aft deck by opening the full-height sliding glass panels, providing a true inside-outside living space of 85 square metres.
With over 200 square metres of deck space – incorporating a large beach club, foredeck seating recess, bridge deck aft lounging space and dining in the main deck aft – there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
A draft of just two metres, will offer great cruising abilities in shallower waters such as those found in the Bahamas and South-East Asia.
And with the beach club taking up the space often reserved for the storage of a tender and water toys, these are stowed forward in a concealed compartment large enough for a five-metre tender and two jetskis, with launch and retrieval via a crane.
The full-displacement, all-aluminium superyacht has been designed with a diesel electric propulsion system with Azimuthing pods in the same vein as its big sisters the Wider 150 and 160. The system delivers up to eight hours of battery power at anchor, providing full hotel services in total silence. Similarly, the WIDER 130’s noise and vibration levels would be among the lowest in its class, said the builder.
Expected top speed of 14 knots, the efficiency of the propulsion system means that the WIDER 130 has a maximum range of 3,400nm at 10 knots (reducing to 2,600nm at 12 knots). Silent cruising is possible when propulsion is provided entirely by the battery power, in Zero Emission Mode.
The WIDER 130 is priced at 18.5 million euro.
