In an unprecedented start to the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, Winch Design has taken home three of the four prizes at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show Superyacht Awards.

The industry disrupting 80-metre MY Excellence has won the most prestigious award of the show: The Finest New Superyacht Award, as well as taking home the prize for Best Exterior.
The Winch team was thrilled when the classical 111-metre MY Tis was awarded Best Interior for her palatial interior style, inspired by classical French elegance.
It is testament to the hard work of the design teams at Winch Design and the teams at Abeking and Rasmussen and Lürssen that these dream yachts have not only been brought to life, but also that they have achieved the recognition of distinction that they deserve.
Excellence’s head-turning American Eagle bow, floor to ceiling mirrored glass and spaceship curves set her apart from the crowd and captured the judge’s attention in one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies in the yachting calendar.
Her interiors are contemporary and versatile and her flowing spaces are adorned with references from the East Coast Art Deco era, incorporating details inspired by the owner’s outstanding automotive collection.

Built at Lürssen, MY Tis (Quai Rainier R03) can only be described as a ‘New Classic’. With her unequivocally elegant exterior, her precise proportions and sweeping curves render her timelessly grand and graceful.
Her indulgent guest cabins take their inspiration from iconic locations and hotels around the world, and her impressive 55-foot beam offers expansive living areas which are inspired by classical French elegance.
Andrew Winch, Jim Dixon (Director, Yachts and Aviation), Ignacio Oliva-Velez (Senior Partner, Yachts) and James Russell (Associate, Yachts) stepped up to accept the prize on behalf of the team in what was a very proud moment for Winch Design.
