Top-secret superyachts

With limited detail issued about the launch, Luminance is the eighth largest yacht from Lürssen and one of two superyachts launched so far this year.

Luminance is preceded by the 90-metre Project 1601 and, in late 2022, the 146-metre Opera, and will be followed by at least 10 other projects due in 2023 and 2024.

Like Luminance, little has been revealed about Project 1601. The exterior was designed by Monaco-based design firm Espen Oeino International, in collaboration with the in-house team at Lürssen, who oversaw the naval architecture.

Interiors are the work of Dölker & Voges Design of Hamburg, and the owner’s project management is Cornelsen & Partner.

Project 1601 will undergo sea trials in the coming months ahead of delivery to her owners in spring.
