Yacht connectivity specialist Mimo Connect has unveiled the MX Dome, a solution that helps superyacht customers achieve secure super-speed internet while cruising.
This solution, which premiered at the 2023 edition of METSTRADE in Amsterdam in November, combines Starlink Satellite and 5G cellular technologies, ensuring fast speeds and a plug-and-play installation process that eliminates the need for on-site engineers.
Mimo Connect says the MX Dome combines the reliability of cellular 4G/5G networks with the global coverage of Starlink LEO satellite connectivity. This technology ensures a robust and effective internet connection globally, especially in remote areas.
The MX Dome is a result of Mimo’s strategic partnership with Norwegian technology company Celerway.
