Mantaray Marina & Residences will be the first dedicated superyacht marina built on the Gold Coast Broadwater, featuring a 67-berth superyacht marina for vessels up to 60 metres.

Gordon Corp has received planning approval to deliver the Gold Coast’s first dedicated superyacht marina as part of a mixed-use project that will also provide luxury waterfront residences, retail and a club lounge.

The company was awarded the State Government tender to acquire and develop the 9,858-square-metre greenfield site at 503 Sea World Drive, which is the first state-owned development site released to market since the endorsement of The Spit Master Plan.

The land has been acquired under a 120-year lease agreement with the Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning for an undisclosed sum.

Gordon Corp founder and Managing Director, Tim Gordon, said Mantaray Marina & Residences will be launched in March 2023 and has been designed as a world-class on-water experience.

“The State Government’s vision for this site, and The Spit Master Plan as a whole, is to be commended,” Mr Gordon said.

The Mantaray will feature a 67-berth superyacht marina for vessels up to 60-metres.

The project comprises 24 ultra-luxury residences, resort facilities, an exclusive private club lounge, and retail and dining on-site.

“Mantaray Marina & Residences represents the first new development on The Spit since Palazzo Versace more than 20 years ago, and our investment in this precinct will create one of the world’s most coveted superyacht destinations.

“The development will provide a strong link between The Broadwater and the Pacific Ocean through an activated retail plaza, residential apartments, public boardwalk, and the region’s first dedicated superyacht marina facility.

“Importantly, it will unlock private investment and attract national and international visitors to the Gold Coast.

“To live on The Spit is incredibly rare and will remain so with the height limits and planning allocations in place for the balance of land, which is predominately dedicated to hotel and recreation uses.”

Mantaray Marina & Residences will deliver a 67-berth Superyacht marina with moorings up to 60 metres in length, alongside 24 ultra-luxury residences, luxury resort facilities, an exclusive private club lounge, and ground floor retail and dining experiences.

“Of particular note is the Penthouse Residences Collection comprising 10 luxurious four-bedroom penthouses, each with their own private lift, and private sqm rooftop terrace with a pool, barbecue, cabanas and entertaining spaces,” he explained. “Each penthouse is also allocated four basement car parks and ample storage.”

Prices have not yet been released. The exquisite sales display, located opposite the site, will be open by appointment only.
