It all began with the revelation that the yacht builder, which is currently delivering a total of a dozen yachts per year, will be launching three new-build superyachts by the end of February, comprising one 37XP and two 26XPs vessels.

Following a highly successful 2023, in which it introduced the super-sporty 26XP as the fastest 85-footer in its class at 31 knots, as well as revealing that it had an impressive 12 yachts under construction, Numarine has made significant additions to its team in order to ensure that it remains ahead of the curve.

Strengthening the management team with experienced and skilled specialists will enable the shipyard to address all challenges, achieve set goals, and effectively meet customer demands.

Murat Şen has been appointed as the new General Manager, following 18 years of working for the Turkish builder across numerous departments. He will be harnessing his substantial hands-on experience in his new role, as he has had the responsibility of being the shipyard’s factory manager for the past eight years.

“This is a great opportunity to lead the company that I’ve been in since I started my professional life,” said Murat Şen. “Through my knowledge of the company culture and the team, I believe the path to a successful future will continue for Numarine.”

The shipyard will also be bolstering its commercial side, thanks to the addition of new Sales and Marketing Director Bengü Özdoğan, who will lead Numarine’s sales, after-sales and marketing initiatives.

First joining Numarine in November 2023, Ozdogan joins with a huge amount of expertise and knowledge under her belt. She previously worked for MB92 Group, one of the world’s largest and most major players in the field of superyacht maintenance, refit and repair, thus meaning she has gained robust experience within the business of superyacht refit.

Özdoğan will also be utilising her extensive knowledge of marketing, sales strategy and partnership management in her new role, which she has gained from her background in the banking and telecommunication industries.

As we look to the year ahead with anticipation, Numarine has also revealed that it has two brand new models ready to be unveiled which are slated to touch the water in 2024: a diesel-hybrid 30XP and a steel-hulled 40MXP.

The 30XP: a diesel-electric beauty

First showcased in September 2022 to mark the occasion of the shipyard’s 20th anniversary, the 30XP has the accolade of being the first Numarine to feature diesel-electric propulsion and slots in naturally between the existing 26XP and 32XP models.

Notably, it did not take long for clients to take note of this innovative model, with five units having been sold ahead of the anticipated launch of the first unit this summer.

Can Yalman, a long-term collaborator with Numarine, is the primary designer of both the vessel’s interiors and exteriors, which sports a raised pilothouse design selected as a result of its highly efficient use of volume.

With its interiors taking their inspiration from a sustainable and simple Scandinavian style, a version of the interior will also be offered which has been created in collaboration with the Istanbul-based Ofist Design Studio, alongside the standard version.

Up to 10 guests are housed in style on board the 30XP across five ensuite staterooms, comprising four guest cabins on the lower deck and a master stateroom on the main deck forward. The master suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and cutouts in the bulwarks for phenomenal sea views, alongside an optional private fold-out balcony perfect for sun-soaked evenings.

Other standout aspects of the 30XP can be found in its semi-open beach club in the stern, a feat achieved by raising the deck above to create a comfortable lounging area just three steps above the main deck level, as well as the generous master-cabin office space which is ideal for owners needing all-important peace and quiet.

Maintaining a strong connection with the outdoors and water throughout its design, the 30XP also offers three fold-down platforms which increase the beach club space to 43 square metres, as well as a side-loading tender bay capable of housing a tender of up to 6.25 metres.

Full-steam ahead into 2024

Numarine founder and chairman Ömer Malaz says, “After enjoying a truly bumper 2023 in terms of our sales, our whole team is looking forward to showcasing what we are capable of in 2024 and beyond, particularly through our unmatched expedition and explorer vessel such as the 30XP.

“Now with the valuable additional support of two such experienced individuals as Bengu and Murat, there will be nothing stopping us!”
