Princess Yachts, the UK’s largest luxury yacht manufacturer, has unveiled designs for the Princess X90 as the latest addition to the X Class series, positioned between the X80 and the flagship X95 Vista.
This model presents a new aspect to the super flybridge yacht range, combining expanded spatial design with a high level of detail in the layout.
The cockpit is designed to maximise space with a low-level, open format, creating closer proximity to the water. A glass transom balustrade and folding bulwark balconies extending to port and starboard allow for uninterrupted 180-degree views.
Seating around three sides of the cockpit and a starboard wet bar unit support this arrangement, with an optional cockpit TV available.
The main deck incorporates curved patio doors connecting to the saloon. When opened, these doors effectively position the 10-seat dining table situated aft of the saloon within the cockpit area. Even when closed, the glass doors provide a visual connection to the exterior.
The main deck saloon is surrounded by glass to allow natural light into the space. The galley, also located on the main deck, can be specified to be open to the saloon with a breakfast bar or fully enclosed. There is a side deck door for access to the port deck and forward crew accommodation, allowing privacy for owners and guests. The deck itself extends from the forward cockpit to the owner’s stateroom, designed as a single-level layout similar to the X95 model.
The owner’s suite is located forward on the main deck, featuring 180-degree glazing to offer wide-reaching views.
An optional gullwing door provides direct access to the owner’s foredeck terrace, which has recessed deck gear below the teak surface.
The flybridge includes the enclosed Skylounge with seating to port and starboard and the option to fit an 85-inch TV. There is also an option for a day head. Sliding doors lead to the wheelhouse, where speeds of up to 28 knots are achievable with multiple engine options.
The Skylounge canopy provides shade to the dining area, with additional layout options available for the aft deck, including a spa bath, bar, or space for loose furniture. The flybridge foredeck also offers seating areas that can convert to sun loungers and a crane can also be fitted to accommodate a tender.
Below deck, guest accommodation includes three ensuite double cabins as standard, with an option for a five-cabin layout. Crew quarters are located forward on the lower deck, with up to three crew cabins, a crew bathroom, and a mess area.
The X90 builds on the X Class’s innovative approach to space and design, providing a practical layout and refined detailing throughout.
The new Princess X90 was revealed at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, held from 10 to 15 September in France. The first X90 is set to debut in 2026.
