Italian yard Ocean King has presented the latest model in the Ducale series of explorer yachts, a new 118 yacht.

The new 118 model joins the 88, 108 and 148 in the Ducale Series designed by VYD Studio.
On the development of the Ducale 118, Paolo Dose of VYD Studio says “Since the very beginning of the project the guideline we have decided with the builder was to emphasise all the features of a true explorer yacht.
“We have then pushed forward the superstructure so to have an extremely voluminous aft space which will allow the guests to enjoy a versatile multifunctional area.”
Being full displacement and built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure construction as per all Ocean Kings, the Ducale 118 was designed to achieve an elegant and timeless look on a rock solid platform, whilst appealing at the same time with a modern and distinctive Italian style.
The huge aft deck area opens up plenty of opportunities including toy storage and tender storage up to 9-metres long.

With the tender storage on the aft deck an enclosed tender garage is unnecessary and larger tender models can be accommodated. When the tenders and toys are removed, the deck is transformed into a grand, sweeping, huge beach club area which can be covered by a removable sun awning or left open alfresco evenings under the stars.
Interior volumes are massive with the Ducale 118 offering 402 GT that allows for a generous five cabin interior layout with the master being a full beam arrangement on the main deck and incorporating an office, and an upper deck that has separate Captains quarters aft of the wheelhouse.
