Australian builder Maritimo has released a new video highlighting its upcoming model, the S55 Sedan Motor Yacht.

The upcoming Sedan Motor Yacht, which runs at 17.27-metres in length and has a beam just over 5 metres, is scheduled to be revealed at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, currently scheduled to run from the 20 to the 23 May.

The new addition to Maritimo’s S Series was first unveiled to the public at the 2020 Sanctuary Cove Boating Festival last November.

“The new S55 brings together the combined skills and expertise of world class Maritimo craftsmen and epitomises our corporate culture and unyielding commitment to reaching motor yacht perfection,” said Maritimo’s Director of Design Tom Barry-Cotter in November.

Powered by standard twin Volvo Penta D11-670MHP power units with an option of Volvo Penta, Scania or CAT Power units, the S55 can reach a speed of up to 1000MHP.

Its hull design and engineering are based around an ultra-shallow angle straight shaft drive system to maximise efficiency and focus heavily on reduced draft to enhance versatility and create more cruising and destination options for owners.

Also featured on S55 is a practical single level layout, merging the interior and exterior together from the upper cockpit to saloon. The S55 also includes the Maritimo’s new ‘adventure deck’ lower cockpit design that provides a space for toys to be launched close to the water, as well as alfresco deck in the upper cockpit.

Below deck, three spacious staterooms and two ensuites with a full-beam king master stateroom, offset queen forward stateroom and twin single starboard guest stateroom.
