Following a seasonal closure for renovations, Amanyara is open for bookings. Set on the shores of a 7,200-hectare nature reserve on the island of Providenciales, the resort’s reopening unveils a complete refurbishment of its communal spaces, including its reception, restaurants and Beach Club, inviting guests to experience a renewed sense of energy.

Basking on the secluded shores of an 18,000-acre nature reserve, Amanyara’s lush tropical pavilions and villas overlook half a mile of white sand beaches and the turquoise waters of Providenciales’ North West Point Marine National Park.

A retreat for all ages, the resort offers restorative wellness retreats and endless possibilities for discovery above and below the waves.

The most recent in a long line of collaborations between the Aman brand and Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston Architects, Amanyara reopens this season as a reinvigorated haven.

Long renowned for its unique welcome experience, Amanyara’s newly refreshed Entrance Pavilion sets the tone for every stay.

To make the most impactful first impression, renowned landscape architect Raymond Jungles has transformed the entrance to the resort. With large mahogany trees now lining the turning circle, the resort’s central tranquillity ponds have also received full renovation, revealing mirror-like reflections that can be appreciated from the new lounge furniture that surrounds them.

Wooden backgammon and chess boards add to the space, enhancing its functionality, with the open-plan layout reconfigured to allow for enhanced privacy and creating an atmospheric spot in which to spend a restful morning or afternoon.

A newly forged pathway between the Entrance Pavilion and the kitchen also welcomes a casual dining area – a shaded spot perfect for enjoying an afternoon aperitif.

Across the central ponds in the Main Restaurant, a full interior renovation reveals elegant art pieces adding eye-catching focal points to the lofty dining venue, while bespoke lighting design by international designer The Flaming Beacon and new furniture create a warm and welcoming ambience day and night.

Culinary delights

This season, reinvigorated gastronomy concepts and an elevated culinary offering give guests the chance to enjoy the vibrant flavours of the Caribbean alongside an array of other cuisines, catering to every palate.

For those seeking a more casual dining experience down on the sand, the Beach Club has been upgraded, with multi-level decking shaded by new pergolas designed to maximise the panoramic views over the breathtaking natural scenery and turquoise waters.

Also part of the renovation, the Beach Club’s bar now features an enhanced focus on contemporary mixology. With an expert mixologist to create traditional and bespoke cocktails using local and rare spirits, including the resort’s own barrel-aged selection, with custom ice cubes and ingredients, guests can experience an exploration of flavours as they watch the golden amber hues of the sun setting over tranquil turquoise waters.

In celebration, the Beach Club has launched a new drinks menu, with after-dinner cocktails and specially crafted Amanyara aperitifs providing the perfect evening delight.

A sanctuary for all guests, Amanyara can cater to all dietary and lifestyle preferences, with the resort’s kitchens upgraded to incorporate a specially designed and dedicated space for preparing Kosher cuisine.

Opening in 2024, the state-of-the-art and Kosher-accredited preparation areas will enable skilled chefs to create Kosher meals from the resort’s vibrant culinary offering, including The Beach Club’s Mediterranean-inspired menu, using the freshest ingredients and produce, giving all guests the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of culinary delights.

Private villas

Elsewhere, three of the resort’s luxury private Villas have undergone renovations. Located amidst the resort’s verdant gardens and serene ponds, the spacious, multi-bedroom villas offer seclusion in serene natural surroundings, with new facilities and outdoor living spaces perfect for lounging.

Nestled on a private lakefront position and offering the utmost privacy, Villa 14 has been fully refurbished, with the addition of a private pathway leading guests directly to a new yoga pavilion, the perfect spot for peaceful morning meditations.

With all three bedrooms offering lake-front lounging areas or views of the lake, the refurbishment has seen the addition of an exclusively designed water feature to the private tranquillity pond, providing serenity for guests of all ages.

Villa 8, a four-bedroom Tranquility Villa, has also undergone a complete refurbishment of the interior living space and expansive outdoor terrace space complete with an infinity-edge swimming pool. Conceptualised exclusively by distinguished international designer Boris Mathias of Chapi Chapo Design, the Villa takes inspiration from the distinct understated elegance of Aman and the natural beauty of the surrounding luscious landscapes.

Exploring the boundaries of design, the high ceilings and wood panelling ensure the living spaces blend seamlessly with the captivating scenery, with each space thoughtfully enhanced by a curated collection of contemporary, eclectic, and textured furniture including purchased pieces with custom designs tailored to each space, creating a harmonious blend of natural fibres and solid wood elements.

Furthermore, meticulous attention has been given to the lighting design, focusing on the use of indirect lighting throughout the entire space to imbue the architecture with a gentle and inviting warm glow.

A magnificent retreat for small groups or families, each of the three bedrooms features an ensuite with deep soaking bathtub. Offering the utmost privacy and serenity, the luscious garden and terrace area has been enriched with the addition of a large Jacuzzi and a fire pit, creating two new areas for socialising alfresco.

Amanyara’s signature villa, the Artists Villa, is located in an exclusive spot with its very own stretch of white sand beach. The resort’s largest and most exclusive residence, the five-bedroom villa enjoys three acres of lush private gardens, with a 108-foot (33-metre) infinity swimming pool directly overlooking the sea.

Complementing the expansive sundecks, multiple alfresco dining areas and recording studio, a new private world-class wellness and fitness area has been added to the Artists Villa. This includes a state-of-the-art gym complete with high-tech Peloton bikes, a complete TRX system, a Pilates Reformer machine and a multi-station home gym, enabling guests to enjoy a full body workout and improve their strength, balance and flexibility surrounded by lush Caribbean surrounds.

Additionally, an expansive steam room and cold plunge pool encourage guests to feel refreshed and renewed during their stay and beyond.

Amanyara’s 20 Villas are tucked along the coast or situated slightly inland overlooking tranquil ponds, affording maximum space and the utmost seclusion and privacy, with full and privileged access to the resort’s facilities.

The expansive open spaces are perfectly designed for socialising with loved ones, with the individual pavilions offering each guest the perfect escape in which to relax and unwind in private. All include a dedicated host, and the three- to six-bedroom villas come with the services of a private chef.
