Italian boatbuilder Riva has been chosen to participate in an exhibition celebrating some of Italy’s most influential brands.

The exhibition, called Identitalia: The Iconic Italian Brands, is dedicated to brands that have left their mark on the history of Italy, as the country celebrates the 140th anniversary of the creation of the Italian Patent and Trademark Office.

Sarnico-based brand Riva is one of 100 leading Italian companies chosen to represent Made in Italy icons in the exhibition, which is organised by the Italian Ministry of Business and Made in Italy.

The exhibition is being held from 13 February to 6 April 2024 at the Italian Ministry of Business’s head office in Palazzo Piacentini, which is located at Via Veneto 33 in Rome.

The exhibition, designed as a journey through the most influential Made in Italy brands, had its official opening on 13 February 2024 with an event attended by the Italian Minister of Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, Unioncamere President Andrea Prete and Historical Brands Association President Massimo Caputi.

For its part in the exhibition, Riva is exhibiting a scale model of one of its best-known powerboats, the Aquarama.

The book Riva Aquarama (Special Edition) about the famous wooden runabout by Assouline, published to mark its 60th anniversary, will also be on exhibition.

Aquarama was the most famous of Carlo Riva’s designs, gaining a reputation as the Ferrari of the boat world for its speed and classic styling.
