Princess Yachts, one of the UK’s largest luxury yacht manufacturers, had a seven-yacht line-up on display at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, including the world premiere of the Princess V50 Open.

The Princess V50 Open features Princess’ latest advancement of its unique deep-V hull design to deliver impeccable seakeeping and handling.

Also on display will be the flagship Princess X95, all three models from the S Class range, the S78, S66 and S62, plus two models from the V Class range, the V55 and V40.

In addition to Princess’ exciting line-up, the British brand revealed further information on the latest member of the Y Class, the new Y80. The 25-metre motor yacht features multiple configurable layout options to adapt to customers’ lifestyles.

“We are delighted to return to Cannes in 2022 in full force with an exciting line-up of new Princess craft,” said Will Green, Executive Sales and Marketing Director at Princess.

“We will also be able to share the latest news of new projects both in build and under development as the next twelve months will represent a record year of all-new launches from Princess; the V50-Open here in Cannes, followed by the new raised-pilothouse Y95, flybridge F65, the X80, V50 Deck Saloon, S72 and Y80.”

V50

Designed by the Princess Design Studio in collaboration with naval architects Olesinski and Italian design house, Pininfarina, the V50 has been created using all-new hull, deck and canopy moulds to redefine one of the core models in the range.

At the heart of the new deep-V hull are compact yet highly efficient, twin Volvo IPS650 engines that can deliver maximum speeds of over 30 knots.

Princess’s design team have designed the cockpit arrangement and bathing platform to maximise outdoor living space, with an elongated canopy which provides a comfortable shaded area to escape the heat.

The main deck features a U-shaped dining area with an outdoor galley opposite. Further forward, the helmsman and navigator are perfectly positioned, the bespoke twin helm seats raised for clear sightlines through the single-pane windscreen.

The large sliding roof section with integrated glazing above offers the total flexibility of a truly open boating experience.

X95

Princess Yachts’ Superfly X Class range redefines the practical potential and lifestyle options aboard with a complete re-think of yacht architecture.

Challenged with setting a new standard of layout excellence that is defined by large, adaptable spaces that can be formatted in different ways, it offers the owner and guests a uniquely flexible boating lifestyle.

Both the flybridge and main deck interior space cover almost the full length of the yacht, creating the Super Flybridge – the X Class’s defining characteristic.

This new layout provides 10 percent more outdoor space and 40 percent more indoor space than a traditional motor yacht.

S78

The flagship of the S Class range, the exhilarating S78 perfectly balances luxury and scintillating performance.

A resin-infused hull delivers exceptional performance with breathtaking agility up to 39 knots.

When at anchor, the hydraulic bathing platform and 4.45-metre tender garage with integrated tender launch system become the perfect base for water sports.

Her interior inspires relaxation with a range of exclusive furnishings, ambient lighting and a cavernous main deck saloon, seamlessly connected to the outside world through full-length side windows.

S66

The S66’s sporting credentials are underlined by a lightweight deep-V hull coupled with the latest MAN V12-1400 engines to deliver 38 knots.

Princess Design Studio’s talent is evidenced by the sweeping panoramic glazing sections on both the hull and superstructure.

Designed for outdoor lifestyles, the S66 offers generously appointed deck areas, including a spacious foredeck seating area. Her hydraulic bathing platform and 3.3-metre tender garage become the perfect base for water sports.

S62

Like its larger siblings, the S62 is built upon Princess’s renowned V-shaped hull and coupled with the latest MAN V8 1200 engines, meaning outstanding seakeeping and speeds of up to 38 knots.

Designed from the outset for a sporting lifestyle, an electro-hydraulic bathing platform creates a convenient launch system for a 3.3-metre tender, a jetski, or a secluded base from which to swim.

The S62 is designed for entertaining alfresco with an aft galley and open-plan dining area.

Below deck, six guests are comfortably accommodated across an ensuite full-beam owner’s stateroom and two further guest cabins, with the option of an additional crew cabin aft.

V55

The V55’s innovative V-shaped hull means it delivers on a clear brief for the modern sports yacht owner’s demands – elegance of form, quality of materials, perfect practicality and inspiring dynamics.

At the heart of the V hull’s stability and predictability is the compact, efficient, high-power twin Volvo D13 engines that deliver up to 2,000 mhp combined and a top speed of over 35 knots.

The result is an intoxicating combination of engine performance, physical dimensions and sea-keeping behaviour.

With new standards of refinement in interior fixtures, fittings and definition of space, and a striking exterior design language recognisable by the new exterior V Class windows and rakish profile, there’s a clear purpose of design.

V40

The V40’s ultra-responsive handling and thrilling acceleration is something to behold, especially when the sunroof is open, creating over five square metres of open space.

Progressive lines have been created with new port light window glazing running almost the entire length of the hull, flooding the saloon and cabins with light.

Interior highlights include a pewter grey and off-white palette that’s both modern and elegant, which depicts the unmistakable V Class look with draped contrast styling.
