Built under the direction of the owner’s, clients who have known Joel Davidson, Outer Reef’s Fort Lauderdale-based Sales Representative, for over 20 years, the new 900 Classic will debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, from 24 to 27 March.

In 2017, the clients built a highly customised 700 yacht with Outer Reef, and the result was the most extensively equipped 700 Outer Reef yacht built to date, including more than one million dollars in upgrades.

The couple have since expanded their family and wanted to build a yacht that could fit the whole gang, hence the new 900 Outer Reef, Julianne, which will be unveiled at the Palm Beach show.

Julianne is the couple’s third custom yacht built with Davidson’s support.

The 55-hp hydraulic bow and stern thrusters permits single-handed operation. A 3,500-gallon fuel capacity allows for a range of 3000 nautical miles with 10 percent reserve fuel at 8.5 knots.

The accommodation plan features a mid-ship, full-beam master stateroom, a queen berth VIP forward, a twin berth cabin to port and a queen guest stateroom to starboard.

All guest cabins are ensuite. Aft of the engine room is two full guest or crew quarters – one equipped with a king, ensuite head and shower. The other has two berths, ensuite head and shower. This area also features a galley dinette and second washer and dryer unit.

Other system upgrades include twin 30 kilowatt Northern Lights generators, nine-square-foot Trac stabilisers, chilled water air conditioning, 1800-gallon-per-day watermaker, three-phase electrical system and an inverter system with additional house bank batteries.

The aft deck has a teak table and built-in seating. A wet bar and refrigerator, wing doors and twin staircases extend to an integrated swim platform.

The wide-planked teak and wenge trimmed interior flooring was installed in key areas through the vessel. The full stand-up engine room allows access to all equipment and systems. The Seatorque enclosed shaft system produces additional fuel efficiency.

The saloon and adjoining galley and pilothouse have a remote-controlled panel that can separate the saloon and galley from the pilothouse. The 900 Series flybridge has two wing stations port and starboard.

The boat deck is equipped with two eight-person emergency life rafts, a grill, 2,600-pound fully hydraulic davit, a 17-foot Walker Bay tender with 115 hp Yamaha mounted fore and aft and two Seabobs.

An entertainment zone for alfresco dining can be found on the aft deck. An awning extends from the aft end of the boat deck over a sun lounge forward to the tender.

The upgrades on the 2022 900 model are the most extensive and detailed of any Outer Reef built to date.
