YachtAid Global and Tahiti Private Expeditions are developing the Operation Swimway conservation program with the help of three Tahiti yacht agents.

YachtAid Global and Tahiti Private Expeditions have announced an alliance with three Tahiti yacht agents, to expand the work of the Operation Swimway conservation program.

YachtAid Global is a nonprofit organisation that facilitates the support and collaboration of the yachting industry worldwide, for disaster relief, humanitarian aid and conservation initiatives across global coastal communities.

Last year, YachtAid Global and superyacht dive specialists Tahiti Private Expeditions partnered to develop Operation Swimway, a conservation program featuring investments into the equipment and science of ocean conservation amid the migration corridors for sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, whales and billfish in French Polynesia and the South Pacific.

Recently, three Tahiti-based superyacht agents – Tahiti Ocean, Seal Superyacht Tahiti, and Tahiti Superyacht Support – have agreed to contribute to Operation Swimway.

Operation Swimway is a conservation program featuring investments into the equipment and science of ocean conservation.

French Polynesia is one of the most beautiful cruising destinations in the world.

YachtAid says this is the first time that competing agents have come together in such an agreement aimed to collectively give back to the oceans, and marine ecosystems of the South Pacific.

Highlighted by a collaborative tiger shark study in the Tuamotu Islands tagging sharks and maintaining receivers, the partnership brings together YachtAid Global’s conservation initiatives and expertise with Tahiti Private Expeditions’ team of professional guides, marine naturalists and cinematographers.

Contributing through donations and logistical assistance to the ongoing and forthcoming actions of the program, this trio of superyacht agents is now working closely with YachtAid Global and Tahiti Private Expeditions, helping make a difference in local conservation.
